Inside the 3rd Region (2/13)

By ApolloFan98 - As we head into the final week of the regular season, there is a shake up at the top of the standings. Up to this point, it appears that Catholic, Hancock and Apollo are all playing some of their best basketball of the season. There isn't much separating the 3 at the top. Ohio County and Muhlenberg County are two teams that can beat anyone on any given night. Owensboro has proven to be a thorn in the side of Catholic this season, and play them in an elimination game in the 9th district tournament. A win there could set the Devils up for a run through the tourney. Daviess County is... Read More →

10th Region Recap and Rankings - 2/13/17

By mcpapa - One more easy week of the regular season remains. District matchups are set. A bit of movement in the top four, with what looks to be a significant gap between our number 4 and number 5. Here's hoping everybody gets healthy and is able to play at full strength, as injuries and illness still plague several squads. 1. Campbell County (24-4, 10-1 region). A 1-2 week slowed the Camels down, starting with their first home-court loss of the season to Simon Kenton. The reliable duo of Bertsch and Heygi led the Camels with 26 and 16 with Hegyi battling illness. Next came a 31-point romp... Read More →

For the first time since the 2015 Region Semifinals, a region team took them to an overtime session, and in-district, it's the first time since the last district or region loss BG took, a 64-58 OT loss to Warren Central in 2015.
