By GoHardITP - 6th Region Rankings (1/10/16) 1) Bullitt East (13-2)- BE played back to back games this week against District foes, Fern Creek & Whitefield. Blow out versus Whitefield and a last minute thriller against Fern Creek. Tyler Sharpe hit a huge 3 pointer when BE was down 5 under 4 minutes to go and then he sealed the deal with several free throws following an old fashioned 3 point play on a layup and 1 with under a minute to go gave BE a five point lead. By Randy Parker - One team shoots up the rankings this week, while the rest of the teams either stay in the same spot or drop one spot. #1 - Montgomery County (12-5) The Indians keep the top spot after a pair of road wins, starting with an 82-80 OT nail-biter at Franklin County on Tuesday. Senior guard Caswell Fuller scored 25 to lead MoCo, while Art Walker added 17, Jerryd Jones 14, and Shelby Combs 11. Forty-eight hours later, Walker drained 5-11 3's and scored a team-high 23 points in a win at Bryan Station. Jones was efficient as well, scoring 18 points on 9-10 FG shooting. Fuller chipped in... This time around, it’s the Black Bears, who disposed of former No. 1 South Laurel 52-46 in the semifinals of the WYMT Classic. Guard Cameron Carmichael continues to shine, and poured in a game-high 32 points in the six-point victory. Harlan County fell in the WYMT Classic finals to Perry Central, 53-47. North Hardin (15-4)- North Hardin remains atop the rankings picking up 2 huge wins this past week over Louisville Central 65-51, and Central Hardin 42-41 as well as a win over Fort Knox. Perry Central would open up with Lawrence County, a team that had beaten them just a week or two before, this time around it was the Commodores defeating Lawrence County 83-72, with the win, The Commodores would move on to face 13th region powerhouse, Clay County, another game and another double digit win for the Commodores as they move on with a 79-68 victory over the Tigers.
