South Laurel (15-4 overall, 7-1 ) — Despite dropping a 65-58 decision on Saturday to Taylor County, South Laurel had a pretty darn good week. Good enough to get back into the top spot after defeating Clay County, 70-51, at home. By Randy Parker - Every team was negatively impacted by nasty weather last week, so there's very little movement in the rankings and very little to report overall. #1 - Montgomery County (13-7) The Indians got a second shot at the state's only undefeated team, Mercer County, on the road Tuesday night. The Titans had beaten MoCo 71-56 on December 29th in the finals of the Gateway Holiday Classic. The outcome of this one was significantly more lopsided, though, as Mercer put away Montgomery 84-51.
