Not really... you started a thread the other night about taking your son to a Reds game.
I'm sure to your son, guys like Joey Votto are his heroes. There are 81 Reds home games to take your son to, to see his heroes. This is the first time the USWNT has been in Cincinnati. Thousands of girls got to see their heroes in person last night and maybe for the only time in their lives. I think it was poor form for you to choose this thread to poke fun at soccer.

I usually park in the campus green garage, but that is now passes only. I parked in Eden Garage last night.

My timing must have been off. There's no way it is a lack of a sense of humor on my part.

I've never noticed it at the FCC games that I've been too, but I've only been to a few.

Maybe they do it earlier. I am usually there at least an hour or more before the gates even open.

@PP1 the Reds game you took your son to had a final score of 2-1 and lasted over 3 hours. The game last night was 5-0 and lasted exactly 1 hour and 45 minutes. Talk about measuring grass blades...

@GrantNKY see I think that's funny even though it is a slight poke at me. If someone takes a little shot at me, but it is funny, then so be it.

I also ponder if there would have nearly as much discussion on this thread had I not gave my little pun.

I wasn't really trying to be funny. I'm being serious. There is one sport in the US that has a "boring" problem with a growing population and its baseball.

Well apparently you have more skill than I do because I was trying to be funny and nobody laughed at all.

A co-worker who is a usher at Nippert said he was surprised at the number given as the attendance. He and the guys he worked with who attend and work all the games thought it was much larger. He said and I am quoting him there wasn't a empty seat in Nippert!

What were the ticket prices? I fear that if Nippert is not the answer (and parking is the major drawback cited) then a new stadium and entry into MSL will make ticket prices unaffordable for the "normal" soccer fans that are enjoying the FC games and exhibitions like this now.

What are the ticket/parking/concession prices compared to the Columbus Crew?

Never been to a Crew game, so I couldn't tell you as far as that goes.

I believe you can get tickets for $10-$20 without much trouble. I don't know about concession stands but canned beers run you $8 or $9, depending what you're drinking. Water, Gatorade, and soda are $4.
