Default The best thing about watching the British Open..............

is that every time Tiger, or whoever, hits a shot there's not some idiot yelling "get in the hole"

The best thing is that Tiger is in the hunt, so I am invested to watch this weekend.

The only thing in sports more annoying than golf fans yelling these little idioms ... female tennis players screaming on every shot.

I can't wait... How do you think Thorbjorn Olesen slept last night knowing he's paired with El Tigre? He birdied 18 to earn that spot. The only thing that would make Thorbjorn a better name is if it was Thormagnusbjorn.

Tiger continued his poor weekend showings as he has yet to shoot under par in a weekend at a major this year. He still finished 4th. The triple bogey he had on a hole he had birdied every time this week was painful to watch.

Not nearly as painful as it was to watch Adam Scott collapse though. He had a 4 or 5 shot lead almost the entire day. He finished Bogey-Bogey-Bogey-Bogey and lost by one to Ernie Els.

I feel awful for Adam Scott. Things like this can make or break a golfer. Confidence has to be rattled.

I agree. Don't think it has really hit him yet. Ernie very gracious in the win.

Couldn't believe Els won. I had it on but was not watching very close. Good thing for DVR so I could rewindit.

Not as many "GET IN THE HOLE" exclamations, but still a few.

Heard one while Peter Allis was commentating; he immediately hissed, "Shut up; that's so annoying". I'm sure he didn't want the British golf fans to be viewed in the same light as those crude Yanks across the pond.

I'm hearing that the tennis powers-that-be are looking into curtailing the grunts.

Best thing was the viewing options. Live in the early AM. Taped middle afternoon on ABC? Taped in the evening ESPN 2.

I was at Valhalla for the opening round of the Rider cup in 2008 and I hate to tell him but he is way late for that.

I had a blast watching the British Open. Felt terrible for Adam Scott. Els just comes out of nowhere to win the thing.
