    Ballard Alum Ronnie Baker Wins Prefontaine Classic 100 Meters

    Defeats Rio Olympic Medalists Gatlin and De Grasse.

    In his first full season as a professional, Louisville native Ronnie Baker (Nike), gets a big win against world class competition with a winning time of 9.86 seconds (w +2.4 m/s).

    Baker is the reigning US indoor champ at 60 meters, and is currently ranked #3 US in the 100.

    While at Texas Christian University, Ronnie was a two-time NCAA champion, and 12-time All-American. He finished 7th at last year's US Olympic Trials.

    While competing for Ballard, Baker was a four-time KHSAA State champion, and twice a Gatorade Kentucky Track & Field Athlete of the Year.
