    Durham Bulls (Tampa Bay) 4 Columbus Clippers (Cleveland) 3
    The Bulls (3-5) scored all four of their runs in the seventh and then hung on to beat the Clippers (5-4) by a count of 4-3. Mac James (Oklahoma) and Jake Cronenworth (Michigan) each had a hit and both drove in a run to lead the winners. Jason Coats (TCU) had to hits to lead the six hit Bulls attack.
    For Columbus, Tim Federowicz (North Carolina) and Mark Mathias (Cal Poly San Luis Obispo) each had two hits. Yu Chang had a hit and drove in two. Trayce Thompson (Santa Margarita Catholic, Rancho Santa Margarita, CA) did not have any hits but drove in a run.

    Wisconsin Timber Rattlers (Brewers) 6 Quad Cities River Bandits (Astros) 3

    A little A ball for me to start the baseball day off. The Timber Rattlers, used a eight hit attack, plus three base ob balls, to move to (5-5) on the young season. David Fry (Northwestern State) and Chad McClanahan ( Brophy, Phoenix, AZ) each drove in two. McClanahan had two hits, while Fry recorded one. Brice Turang (Santiago, Corona, CA), a slick fielding shortstop, with a bazooka for a arm, drove in one. Je'Von Ward (Gahr, Cerritos, CA) also had one RBI.

    For Quad City (6-4), they had five hits by five different players. Enmanuel Valdez, Jeremy Pena (Maine) and Austin Dennis each drove in a run.

    Columbus Clippers (Indians)3 Durham Bulls (Tampa Bay) 1

    Yesterday the Clippers (6-4) used the long ball to defeat the Bulls (3-6). First a solo shot by Mike Freeman (1) (Clemson) to take a 1-0 lead. Then with the game locked at one, Eric Haase (2) slammed a two run bomb to give the Clippers a two run lead and after all was said and done, the Clippers left town with the 3-1 win. Ryan Flaherty (Vanderbilt) and Freeman both had two hits.
    For the Bulls, Nate Lowe (Mississippi State) had two hits and drove in the Bulls only run.

    Columbus Clippers 4 (Cleveland) Louisville Bats (Reds) 3
    The Clippers get the winning run by a bases loaded walk to Jordan Luplow (Fresno State), in the top of the ninth. Luplow, overall had a horrible Clippers debut , by going 0-3 and leaving seven runners left on base. Eric Haase (2) blasted a two run homer to power the Clippers offense. Hasse hitting only .182 on the season struck out three times. Ryan Flaherty (.346) had two hits and he walked three times. Mark Mathias had three hits and scored two runs.

    Louisville had six total hits, one each by six different players. Nick Longhi, Christian Colón and Rob Refsnyder all had RBI.

    Louisville Bats (Reds) 9 Columbus Clippers (Cleveland)
    The two teams combined for 27 hits, including four home runs. Eric Haase (4) and Francisco Lindor (1) went yard for Columbus (7-5). For the Bats (6-7) Juan Graterol (1) and Josh VanMeter (5). VanMeter has hit all of his bombs against Columbus.
    The Bats total 13 hits, with VanMeter getting two of them and he drove in four. Graterol had two hits and drove in four. Christian Colón drove in one run, with four hits.
    Columbus had fourteen hits, with Bobby Bradley leading the way with three. He also drove in one. Getting two hits apiece was, Francisco Lindor, Ryan Flaherty, Jordan Luplow and Trayce Thompson.

    New Orleans Baby Cakes(Miami) 5 Iowa Cubs 0(Cubs) 7 innings
    The Baby Cakes (6-6) Had just four hits including a two run bomb by Isan Díaz (2) to shutout the first place Cubs (7-5) JT Riddle (Kentucky) had a hit and one RBI, same as Yadiel Rivera.
    The Cubs had two hits total.

    Las Vegas Aviators (Oakland) 5 Sacramento River Cats (San Francisco) 4 10 innings
    A little PCL action to close out the night. It turned out to be a good game with the Aviators (12-2) holding onto win, after giving up one run in the bottom of the tenth.
    Seth Brown (6) blasted two home runs to lead the nine hit attack. He totaled two RBI on the night. Jorge Mateo had three hits and one RBI. Sheldon Neuse had two hits and drove in one, for the winners.
    For the River Cats (6-7) Henry Ramos (1) and Mike Gerber (2) both went yard. Both were solo shots. Anthony García and Michael Reed each had RBI.

    Charlotte Knights (White Sox) 2 Gwinnett Stripers (Braves) 1
    This was the early afternoon game today. The Knights (10-5) only had three hits in this one, compared to nine hits for the Stripers. Alcides Escobar and Ryan Goins each had a hit and drove in a run, to lead the way.
    For the Stripers (7-7) former Reds, Adam Duvall had two hits and drove in the only run. He is hitting .308, so far. Ryan LaMarre and Austin Riley also had two hits apiece.
    Spencer Adams (1-0) came out of the pen to throw four shutout innings to post the win. Sean Newcomb (0-1) took the loss, while Evan Marshall (2) posted the save.

    27 Hits, 6 home runs and 4 base on balls, is what the two teams combined to do last night.
    Eric Haase (5) hit his fourth homer in as many days, Francisco Linder (2) hit his 2nd home run on his rehab assignment, Ryan Flaherty (2) blasted two bombs for the Clippers.
    The Bats got bombs from, Aristides Aquino (4) Rob Refsnyder (1). Aquino and Refsnyder both had three hits and combined they had four RBI. Refsnyder had three of the four. Josh VanMeter had one RBI.
    The Clippers got three hits and one RBI from Lindor , three hits and one RBI from Haase, Flaherty had four RBI, Oscar Mercado had two hits and one RBI.
    Michael Peoples got the win (1-0). He went six, giving up ten hits, but only two earned runs. He struck out six, while walking just one.
    José López (1-1) took the loss. He gave up eight hits and five earned runs.

    Columbus Clippers (Indians) 11 Toledo Mud Hens 10 10 Innings
    The Clippers (10-5) led by five after 4 1/2 innings of play and then found themselves down 9-6 after seven innings, thanks to a seven run fifth inning by Toledo (5-9). The Clippers scored three in the ninth to force extra baseball. In the tenth, Columbus got a run on a bases loaded walk.
    Toledo had eights hits, compared to eleven for Columbus. Leading the way for Toledo was, Victor Reyes (1-4 4 RBI) his only hit was a grand slam his fifth on the season. Checking in with two hits and three RBI was, Harold Castro. Danny Woodrow (Creighton) had two hits and one RBI. Dawel Lugo went hitless but drove in a run.
    The Clippers got a big game from Mark Mathias ( 6 RBI 2 Hits). Cameron Maybin had two hits and a RBI. Ryan Flaherty had a hit and a RBI. Bobby Bradley also had a hit and drive in a run. The kid has shown some fancy glove work at first as he continues to show why he is a top Indians prospect. Trayce Thompson (1) drove in a run with his first bomb of the season. The other RBI for Columbus came on the bases loaded walk to Eric Haase.

    Nothing like the high scoring game from last night.Columbus (11-5) had eight its compared to just four from Toledo (5-10). Leading the way for the winners was, Oscar Mercado and Jordan Luplow with two hits each. Mark Mathias, Brandon Barnes, Ryan Flaherty and Trayce Thompson all drove in a run. Thompson (2) hit a solo home run.
    For Toledo, Victor Reyes (2) HIT A solo home run. Willi Castro had the other RBI.
    Asher Wojciechowski (1-0) posted the win. He struck out nine.
    Ryan Carpenter (0-3) took the loss.

    Nashville Sounds (Texas) 3 San Antonio (Milwaukee) 1 7 Innings
    The Sounds (5-11) got a pretty good game from Ariel Jurado (6 2/3/Inn,8 Hits, 1 Earned Run and 7 K's). Jurado moves to 3-0 on the young season.
    Miguel Del Pozo (1) earned his first save of the season.
    Jose Trevino (.175) had a hit and drove in two runs, to lead the offense. Zack Granite (.255) had two hits and scored a run, to aid in the cause.
    For the Missions (8-8) Zack Brown (0-2 Kentucky) took the loss. He gave up five hits, three earned runs and struck out seven.
    Mauricio Dubon (.290) had a hit and drove in the teams only run.

    Rochester Red Wings (Minnesota) 8 Scranton/Wilkes-Barre RailRiders (Yankees) 6

    Rochester (6-11) trailed 6-0 after five and one half innings of play, then they scored five in the bottom of the fifth and go on to score one run in each of the next three innings, to post the win.
    Scranton (8-7) got a three run bomb by Trey Amburgey (1) to jump out in front. Billy Burns had the teams other RBI. Gosuke Katoh paced the five hit attack, with two hits.
    For Rochester, Randy Cesar led the way with three hits and 4 RBI. Catcher Tomás Telis had two RBI and a hit. Wilin Rosario had two hits and he knocked in a run. Zander Wiel had the other RBI.
    Ryan Eades 1-1 Posted the win He threw three innings giving up one hit and one earned runs.
    Raynel Espinal 0-2 took the loss.

    Columbus Clippers (Cleveland)11 Norfolk Tides (Baltimore) 7 Oscar Mercado (.361) had four hits and three RBI, including his first bomb of the season, to lead the Clippers. Jordan Luplow (.379) had two hits and two RBI, Mark Mathias (.220) went 2-5 and drove in a run, Ryan Flaherty (.309) drove in two and he had one hit and Trayce Thompson (.151) had one RBI. As a team the Clippers had fourteen hits and they added seven walks to that.
    The Tides (7-12) managed to get eleven hits and four walks,leading to seven runs.
    Pacing the offense with two hits each were, Mason Williams (.236), Anthony Santander (.262) and Christopher Bostick (.277). Bostick knocked in two, while Williams, Santander, DJ Stewart (.234) and Jace Peterson all knocked in one.

    Lehigh Valley IronPigs (Phillies) 3 Pawtucket Red Sox 1
    The IronPigs (14-4) used eight hits and six base on balls to score three runs and beat the Red Sox (7-11).
    Leading the way was, Andrew Romine (.321) with two hits and one RBI. Dylan Cozens (.218) also had two hits. Getting the teams other RBI was, Deivy Grullon (.378)
    For the Red Sox, Rusney Castillo (.291) and Sam Travis (.204) each had two hits. Driving in the only run was, Jantzen Witte (T.C.U./ .200)
