2 shot swing. Tiger 1 back of Molinari heading to the 8th tee. Molinari has missed both ways with the driver on the front 9. Developing situation heading to the back.

There’s still time, but this feels like the other close calls of late have. Once upon a time Tiger rose to the challenge and his opponent would wilt. That just hasn’t been happening, in both directions. This is there for the taking, but Tiger has been unable to capitalize. Still holding out hope.

Molinari goes in the water at 12. Tiger on the green. Door is officially open.

Tiger has never came from behind on Sunday to win a Major. He's had the lead every time on Sunday morning.

I guess what I meant is that in the final pairing on Sunday, he'd play his best, or at least well, and slam the door on everyone. If he was a modest -2 for the day, he'd be in the lead alone right now.

It's funny - after my post that is basically what happened. Molinari finally seemed to feel the moment, and has had his worst golf of the entire week now. Tiger hasn't exactly roared to the top, but he is tied for the lead. The interesting thing is that a lot of other golfers have risen too. Dustin Johnson, Brooks Koepka, and Xavier Schauffele have all joined at -12 for the lead. Just a few holes left.

Tiger on in 2 on 15. Molinari in the water. Schauffele 2 holes ahead. This is intense.

Molinari was lucky not to go into the water twice on 15. The ball stayed up on the green downslope, when just about every time you see it roll right on down into the water.

Tiger is breathing clean air at -13 through 15, the leader alone. His playing partners now sit at -10.

Dustin Johnson shoots a 68 to become the leader in the clubhouse at -12.

Tiger nearly got an ace at 16, caught the slope on the green and it nearly drifted all the way in. He's got an extremely makeable putt for birdie at 16 which would put him two clear.

Tiger headed to the 17th tee with a two shot lead fresh off of two straight birdies. Johnson cannot close the gap himself in the clubhouse; Schauffele is already on the 18th hole himself, so would either need to eagle or birdie to put pressure on. Koepka is on 17, and now appears to be the best challenger.

    This is so much fun.

I had forgotten how much fun this can be.

Schauffele went bunker to bunker on the 18th, and will have to hole a shot from the greenside bunker to be able to match Dustin Johnson's -12.

Barring something miraculous, this appears to be Tiger versus Koepka head to head with 2 shots in hand for Tiger. Koepka has a birdie putt on 17 coming. Tiger's on the fairway.

Koepka slid about a 10-12 foot birdie putt to the left of the hole - it never had a chance. He'll tap in for par to remain at -12.

If Tiger holds on, this will be the longest gap between Masters wins ever.
