    NKY_YouthCoach

Here is a little bit about NKY_YouthCoach. I am a transplant here to the great state of KY. I have been here for 12 years so far and think of this state as my home now. I grew outside Memphis, TN and went through high school in a little town called Lexington, TN. I graduated from the Univ. of TN with a degree in Civil Engineering about 20 years ago. I'm still a Vol fan, but I also follow UK, UofL, Cincinnati and Mount Union College now.

The main reason I'm on this board, though, is to discuss high school football. This board is, without a doubt, the best around when it comes to discussing high school sports. I am a member on similar boards in Tennessee and Ohio, but they don't compare to BluegrassPreps. As most of you that have read my posts know, I am a major fan of NKY football in general and Conner High School in particular. I have had the distinct privilege of coaching many of the young men playing on the Conner football team when they were younger as I was a head coach in the Boone Co. Peewee Football League for a number of years, hence the nickname. Further, I have one son that has graduated from Conner and gone on to play some at Mount Union College, and one other son that will be a junior at Conner this next season.

This board is a wonderful place to practice the art of communication. There is rarely agreement among the whole group and often heated discussions, but one thing we all agree on is that these are kids playing sports that we adults have played and loved when we were their ages. That is probably the reason for the passionate responses on this board at times. That is as it should be, so everyone keep on giving their opinions, but always remember that there are usually two sides with neither being completely correct!

Well said coach but I always like to think my way of thinking is completely correct.
