Steelers seem to be either handing over the SS reigns to Shamarko Thomas(who has played well when he got opportunity) or gonna move my fave FA MMitchell to SS and play a rookie. Some mocks have LCollins from Bama as the 22nd pick. I doubt it. They still have Vet Will Allen that can play both. But there's no doubt that there will be a safety candidate drafted this month.

So Safety is definitely a concern?

Great player and pro. I loved watching him as a football fan, as a Bengals fan, I'm glad to see him go.

Reed, everytime. Reed is the best ever in my opinion.

Troy was their last icon as defensive player since the 70's. Harrison is a shell of his former self. They have Timmons, but he is just a good player, not great. It is odd, but this is an offensive team, a very good one with three elite players on that side of the ball. It will take a while for their defense to catch. They will have to put up a lot of points to beat some of the offensive juggernauts in the NFL.

When you think Steelers, you think defense, not so much anymore.

I can't express in words how much I hate the Pittsburgh Steelers, but I always liked Troy. He was that guy on my mosted hated team that I really wished I could have rooted for but due to the team he played for I never could. I hate to see him leave but it makes sense and I wish him the best.

A lot of good free agent safeties still out there. Usama Young, Bernard Pollard, Brandon Meriweather, Quinton Demps, Josh Gordy, Quinton Carter and LaRon big arms Landry they should at least try them out.

Hate to see him go, but it was time. He'll always be in the top tier for me along with Bus and Lambert.

I'm struggling to think of who was a better disruptor on defense, ever. I'm sure there are others that fit in there — Ronnie Lott comes to mind — but I am biased.

He probably is not a HOFer, though.

I think he's in the discussion with all-time disruptive secondary players like Reed, and the king of them Deion. I think S.Taylor would have been one of those mentioned in that regard as well.
