Mar 26, 12, 04:57 PM #17Yes he did, please go back to the first thread and the links. Tebow not only didn't correct a false impression (until today) he helped the false impression along.
Maybe I shouldn't hold Tebow to a higher standard but I do. I think he stinks as a QB and until now I really thought he was a super human being. In my eyes Tebow dropped from super human being to like far too many in life and that is they they are just a little selfish. I am not saying selfish is always bad because you have to look out for #1 in life I am saying I thought Tebow was special, I don't think that anymore.

Mar 26, 12, 05:11 PM #19From the article Deimos posted:
At 6:30 p.m. on Wednesday, the Broncos let the Jaguars know they were allowing Tebow to choose between the teams. Denver coach John Fox kept Tebow abreast of the talks throughout the day. Early in the day Fox had asked Tebow if he had a preference, and Tebow said both seemed fine and the Broncos should do what was best for the team.
Wednesday evening, Tebow’s opinion changed. He was going to have a better opportunity to start in New York and felt more wanted by the Jets organization.
Tebow acknowledged that at his press conference in New York on Monday, saying he was more comfortable with the Jets' coaches than with the Jaguars'.

Reading the article in the first post of this thread. It looks to me that the author used some creativity in para-phrasing the quotes.

Mar 26, 12, 08:44 PM #26Bottom line, Tebow was under contract and truly was at the mercy of Denver management. I don't understand the hullabaloo about this. What did he say that was false? I read the whole shebang and read no dishonesty by anyone in any of it. I'm not a huge Tebow supporter at all, but it seems he draws an awful lot of ire and scrutiny that is unwarranted, IMO.

Mar 26, 12, 08:49 PM #27I think it is pretty clear doc, at first Tebow said he didn't have any (“didn’t have any [say]” in his destination) say in his destination and the Broncos said they were letting Tebow choose which team he went to. First Tebow said do what is right for the Broncos and then he said the Jets were a better option for him. The Broncos traded him to the Jets and went on record saying the Jags were offering more but they traded Tebow to the Jets instead.

In the end it will be shown that Tebow will "use" his NY platform to promote his religous ideals and there is nothing wrong with that. The Jets should be better than the Jags, but I predict this will be the career ending move in New York for Rex Ryan.
The Jets can move merchandise. Tebow can "promote" on the biggest of stages. The Jets will still be so-so. All the "buzzez" will wear off rather quickly.
