    Just saw that Shazier had some sort of spinal surgery.

    At this point football is an afterthought. Just really hope he's able to walk and live a normal life going forward.

    Yea just read that sounds like football is over for him hope he recovers.

    He was still in UC hospital as of Tuesday evening.

    He was moved to Pittsburgh yesterday and had surgery last night.

    REad he had surgery to align teh spinal cord. He is definitely out the remainder of the year and future will be determined later. Doesn't look good for playing again, I would think. I am not a Dr., though. Hope things work out where he can live a productive amble life.

    My source pretty much told me the same thing. Football was not a priority at this point.

    Even if he was fully cleared. I am not sure if he could get over the mental side of it, even if he wanted to. Playing linebacker your going to be in collisions all the time. Even with proper technique that would have to be in the back of his mind. That will this hit be it for me.

    I hope he has a full recovery. Even if he does I think it will be to hard to come back to play. Just like David Pollack for the Bengals was cleared to come back, but he made the decision not to. Such a hard mental block to get over too.
