Ranking the positions the Bengals need to address in the draft

Page 3 of The Bengals did a lot in Free Agency. I like how they worked the Vet Minimum stock. With FA pretty much behind us I think the Bengals need to address: ... 35 comments | 884 Views | Go to page 1 →

Ask yourself if we draft a WR high in the draft what does that mean? I think it means we have to cut someone that can help us.

My other thought is the long term plan is NOT to keep AJ Green and if so we always need to be looking at WR.

I think OT and LB are greater needs for the Bengals. Additionally, I think Safety is a greater need than WR.
Denarius Moore is an upgrade from Sanzenbacher and that is about it.

Marvin Jones basically had about a half season of high level success and hasn't played in over a year.

However, I will agree that LB should be a higher priority than WR for one big reason - AJ Green. The Bengals do have a stud already at WR that they can count on. At LB, they don't. Burfict is a question mark.

As to safety, all the reports I have seen say this is a terrible draft for safeties. The Bengals will be lucky to fill that in this draft.

If Ereck Flowers is still there when the Bengals pick, they will break a speed record on getting their pick to the podium.

I would take him in a heartbeat over the DE that Hobson thinks we will take. The DE he wants has a history of being hurt and very inconsistent. I'd take Shane Ray who was first seen as a top 10 pick, and in this years draft which is very weak except for WR has only 10 players rated as 1st round grades, and he was 1 of them.

Bengals just waved LJ Fort a back up linebacker. That could mean they are planning on drafting a linebacker or 2.

Fort really isn't a factor, Tez is the wildcard and yes the Bengals need help at LB.
