Default I love me some James Harrison:

Benz: “James, are you aware of the story about the lawsuit mentioning your name in Philadelphia and if so what’s your reaction to it?”

Harrison: “I’m not aware of it.”

Benz: “Ken Stabler and some of the other former pro football players in a concussion suit referenced you as a guy that was a repeat offender and maybe should be out of the game. When you hear former players say that about you –”

Harrison: “Who is — Ken who?”

    Benz: “Ken Stabler.”

    Harrison: “Who is that?”

    Benz: “Former Raider quarterback.”

Harrison: “Never heard of him. His opinion doesn’t matter to me.”

If Ken Stabler was a snake he would have bit Harrison.

Typical. Too bad the snake can't bite Roethlisberger & Hines Ward while he's at it!

only way this could have gone better would have been like this.

"Benz: “James, are you aware of the story about the lawsuit mentioning your name in Philadelphia and if so what’s your reaction to it?”

Harrison: "Did I knock him out too?"

Stabler's Raiders played just like Harrison. They would have welcomed him with open arms. Stabler has squandered his money and looking for a payday. Lefthanded QB's aren't wrapped too tight anyway.

They need to put down the cell phones and learn about the history of the NFL. I know most of us on BGP have a vast knowledge of sports history. Many of us built this knowledge without the aid of technology. I just don't see how many don't have knowlege when Ken Stabler takes eleven key strokes.

Disagree. I fully believe that Harrison has no clue who he is.

That's funny. Personally I love how physical James Harrison is. If you are on an opposing team you are making sure you know where he's at. To me that's what defense is all about. Imposing your will and making others fear you along with getting the ball back.

It doesn't surprise me at all that Harrison doesn't know who he is. I bet half the players in the league or more don't know who he is. His isn't a household name and most of the players in the league weren't alive when he was playing.

I honestly believe today's NFL player could care less about who came before him. They are more preoccupied with how can I "get mine" and as much of it as I can. That's really not a bad thing given the short careers of NFL players. However, I don't think NFL players of today are connected to NFL history at all. Just my opinion

I don't think Harrison plays football for that reason at all^. He is a different breed. He loves the battle. I know that's goofy and poetic, but James ain't your usual cat.

I think Harrison knows who the Snake is, but that was his shot back at him and a good one at that. Every chance one of those old Raider players get a chance at a shot at a current or old Steeler, they don't pass it up. I'm glad to know the Steelers are still in their head...

I love James Harrison. And would even if he wasn't a Steeler.
