For the first time in years, i won't watch the giants game Sunday. Eli earned the right to finish this crap season. Benching him is a terrible decision. Starting Geno instead of Davis Webb only makes it an even worse decision.
I agree, it angered me as much as one can get angry about such a thing.

I hate it for Eli Manning and I hope he has a couple of good years left in the tank with another team.

I hope, if they move him, he wins another super bowl somewhere else.

However, i don't think Reese or McAdoo should get to make the decision on whether Eli will be a Giant next year or not. They should be gone.

I'd like to say this finally ends any type of Elite discussion with Eli but this move is just crap.

Had this been for Davis Webb, I would've said it's too important for their future not to see what they have in him. They're going to have one of the top 3-4 picks in the draft and you have to see if you have your QB of the future or not. Geno? Everyone knows how craptastic that clown is.

Eli deserves better. Denver, Jacksonville, Cleveland, and the NY Jets seem to be the most likely spots for him to resurface next season.

@BobPapa_NFL & I just took a break from our radio show to grab a coffee to see only 2 @Giants players in the cafeteria. It was Eli Manning sitting next to Davis Webb mentoring him #Respect #Character #Selfless

My reason for saying "I can see why" has nothing to do with the way Eli is playing. It's because they're 2-9, and you can't necessarily pencil in Eli as the starting QB for the next 5-10 years. This is where most teams would at least get a look at their younger guys to see if it's worth banking on them in the future.

I agree, doing this just to see Geno makes no obvious sense. He's got enough of a track record to understand what he's going to be. The only reason...and I mean only reason I can think of for going to Geno first is this: maybe they think Webb could be the guy, but rather than put the added pressure of replacing a 2-time Super Bowl champ, he'll be replacing Smith. Basically, they'd be saying "you don't have to be Eli...just be better than Geno." Let him focus on the X's and O's, instead of Eli's shadow. I don't know. I know it sounds like I'm reaching. Maybe I am. Like I said, it was the only reason I could think of.

I think the plan is to start Webb next week.

I still don't like it. They barely played webb in the pre season and have made him inactive every game so far. Even having Geno on the team at this point makes no sense.

I'll get over it, when Mcadoo is fired.

When's their last game, December 31st? That may be your New Year's present.

I don't understand why people keep holding out hope that Eli is a great QB. The Giants record over the last 5 3/4 seasons is 41-50.

Here are stats from the last 5 3/4 seasons
Comp Attemps % Yards TD INT
    Eli Manning 2028 3299 61.5% 23,046 149 93
    Andy Dalton 1821 2868 63.5% 21,188 140 76 Record 54-35-2

Is he any better than Andy Dalton over the last 5 plus years?

No. And while he has won two Super Bowls, he's only had maybe a couple great years, and is only 10 games over .500. He's had a solid career, but I would never consider him one of the greats. That being said, he deserves a better send off than what he's getting.

He's done a lot with no offensive line and a bad defense. He didn't always have OBJ, and the good receivers he's had kept getting injured (Nicks, Cruz, Manningham) ..

Only a handful of players have won two super bowls, and two super bowl MVPs.

Eli was never a stats guy. But the difference in him and Andy Dalton shows in their playoff stats. Compare that.
