And, to date, just as there's no disputing the fact that he's a sub-par QB by NFL standards, there's no disputing that if its a close game at the end, he finds a way to make plays.
This post says it all. He is equally as polarizing off the field with the religious stuff as he is on the field with his play. Most captivating and interesting while praised and scrutinized player maybe in history, for no longer than he has been around.

Even I wouldn't cut Tim Tebow.

Boomer must be a left handed atheist then.

From what we've seen thus far, he wouldn't be my preference to have as my starting QB, but he's intriguing enough that I wouldn't care to have him on my roster to see if he could develop his passing skills.
The problem here is that the Jets situation isn't ideal. Sanchez is hot-and-cold and Tebow's presence just adds another clown to the circus in New York. But, if Tebow ends up playing for the Jets, I wouldn't be surprised if the end result turns out similar to last year. Their defense should keep them in games, so it will likely come down to making plays at the end.
Right on the money.

I think Boomer and probably Howie(didn't read it) are saying two things:
1. He's bad for an already volatile situation.
2. He's not a good QB.
I've got no problem with either view. Reviews from camp are he's worse than he previously was.

In the 2nd grade I made the sign of the cross with my south paw and was reprimanded by the Monsignor for being a "left handed Catholic".
When Rex made the Jets run gassers after practice on Tuesday as a punishment for excessive fighting, Tebow was at the head of the pack, at least 10 yards ahead of the next player.
If the Jets had more people with his mind set (if not skill set) they would win way more games.
