Bill Musgrave calls Jerome Simpson the “juice” the Vikings need
The Vikings went into the offseason knowing that they needed more pieces on offense to help Christian Ponder in 2012.
They signed tight end John Carlson as a free agent in hopes of giving Ponder a reliable option and drafted Matt Kalil to help keep Ponder upright long enough to deliver passes. They also drafted a pair of Arkansas wide receivers — Greg Childs and Jarius Wright — to flesh out a thin position group. Offensive coordinator Bill Musgrave sounds most excited about wide receiver Jerome Simpson, signed as a free agent after playing out his contract with the Bengals.

That was the problem in Cincy, Simpson was supplying everyone with the "juice!"
All kidding aside, I am glad to see the Vikes are high on Simpson.

High, lol, fun with words. I bet Simpson is High on them too.

I think Simpson will do really well depending on how the QB does. Simpson not the type of guy who needs to have a whole off season taken away when a new offense is being put in place. I think he would have been much more consistent this year in Cincy, however it was probably for the best for him to get a fresh start.

To put it bluntly if he can't learn the play book ( Like he couldn't here) he will still struggle.

Doesn't matter. The Vikings are -- and forever will be -- completely doomed.
That said, I hope these things lead to some points. There are no doubt some things to find encouraging going into the season. There's just no way they'll get over the hump in that division this season.

No doubt about it. It took him a long time to learn Brat's playbook because not only was he learning the playbook, he had to learn schemes of the defense and the speed of the NFL coming from a small school. However he showed how much talent he had those last two games of the last yeat was here, because he finally knew it. Last year he struggled with learning it, and only showed glimpses. So if he can find away to learn it like you said he needs to, then he could do great!

2 1/2 pounds of pot shipped to Rome's condo via U.S. mail. When the authorities crashed in the door of Casa Simpson they found an additional pound of pot. When the dust settled he was sentenced to 15 days in jail. Jerome may not be an All Pro but his lawyer sure is.

Ponder to Carleson. Ponder to Simpson. Handoff to Gearhart. I'm glad I'm not a Vikings fan. Wasn't long ago it was Favre to Rice. Hand off to AP. Mt Minn at the DT positions.

You're very lucky in that regard. Now that the Red Sox have a couple World Series championships, is there another team in professional sports that's come so close so many times over the last 50 years and has always come up just short?

I've been hearing AP is doing very well in rehab and apparently he beat Percy Harvin in an uphill foot race.

The reason I don't include the Cubs is that those losers are never even CLOSE. They're just bad.

I wonder what Simpsons first reaction is when the coaches ask him to "run to the hash"

I hope AP gets healthy. He's had a tough life and is a special athlete! I forgot about Harvin. Wheels with migraines.
