Only reason this may not be a 35 point blowout is that McVay may take it easy on his protégé. We can't stop the run. We can't run the ball. We can't pass the ball. We can't catch the ball. The only way the Bengals win this one is if the Rams get delayed in customs and we get to play the cheerleaders instead.

Sorry to say this, but this would have been a terrific year to give up a home game to London from my season tickets so that I would have one less game at PBS.

As well as Mike Brown likes to cut costs, just stay home and save the travel expenses. Pretty much another L anyway.

Well I am thinking this may be Daltons last start unless he decides to play great. They have to be thinking about making the change and seeing what Finley can do. I will assume the change will come after this game, since they will have a bye week after this game. This would give them 2 weeks of preparing to start Finley.

I do not see that happening at all.

Neither do I, not fair to that kid to put him behind that O line, you won’t find out a thing about him except can he take hits or run out of the pocket!!

Can you imagine that flight? Followed by a big loss! Followed by that return flight. There is nothing good to come out of this game. The lack of discipline on this team (critical penalties to consistently kill drives), missed blocking assignments, HBs running into QB, wrong routes, dropped passes, unnecessary holding away from play, and on and on. Leadership vacuum abounds. Is it the coaching staff or QB?

In terms of pass blocking the line hasn't been as bad as last year. Dalton has just been flat out bad. Dalton is one of the worst in the league this year when pressured and when not pressured. Which Daltons pocket presence also has never been good, so that makes things worst.

Finley with only a small sample size showed pretty good pocket presence and awareness and movement in the preseason. Now obviously the pre season doesn't mean much. However, you did use a 4th round pick on him. Chances are you will have a top 3 pick this year and in position to take a qb. So might as well see if Finley shows any signs of being something, because if not this year. Then chances are it never will.

This season is a waste now, so might as well see what you have. Which even if it goes horribly, it doesn't change much because then you will be getting a new qb anyways.

Want to know how bad the Bengals were last week against the Jaguars? The highest rated player for the Bengals by Pro Football Focus was none other than Andy Dalton, three interceptions and all.
