    Bengals First 50: Wide Receivers

As a part of the celebration of the Bengal's 50th year of existence, the organization is having fans vote on a "First 50" team of the 50 greatest past Bengals players. The voting period has officially ended, but I thought it might be fun to discuss who you'd pick by position.

Given the percent of wide receivers from the total pool of players to choose from, plus their impact on the team's performance, you should be able to pick 6 WRs and still keep a fairly even distribution from among other positions.

You can check out the players in the link and look at some basic info on their individual careers with the team. Bengals First 50

Curtis, Joiner and Collinsworth were the first 3 to come to my mind.

Brown, TJ and Pickens get my next 3 spots if I was building a team (which is how I voted). But, for stats alone, I can see Chad getting the nod over them.

If you include Chad you have to include TJ.

    You do?

Chad had nearly double the yards, nearly double the TDs and about 250 more receptions than TJ did. Granted he played more games but still, their career numbers with the Bengals aren't even close.

I think you have to include AJ Green, unless this honor specifically excludes active players. But he absolutely deserve it and I'm basing that if he didn't play another down for the Bengals.

Love me some Charlie Joiner, but he only played three and a half years for the Bengals. Best year was his last. 37 catches! He went to the hall because of his years with San Diego. On the flip,i hate Chad Johnson, but he was a hell of a player. Got to give it up to him. To me,the only "true" number "85" in this franchises history is Issac Curtis!!! I'm bias,he is my all time favorite Bengal. Between him and Collinsworth,i don't think i ever saw them drop a pass.
