Bengals add two scouts
Robert Livingston, a defensive quality control coach at Vanderbilt after playing at Furman from 2007-09, has been added to the personnel department with Steven Radicevic.
Radicevic, the director of football operations at UCLA for the past three seasons, is a Culver City, Calif., product and indications are he'll do the bulk of his work on the West Coast. He played on the offensive line at Cal-Davis and later on the defensive line at UCLA before going into coaching after the 2006 season. He worked extensively on recruiting and was in charge of dealing with NFL scouts at the school for the past two seasons.

It looks like they just hired two Graduate Assistants.

I want to be positive about this hiring but that is how I feel.

Being optimistic their scouting department just tripled!

I found this stick:
The Bengals announced they hired two full-time scouts, Robert Livingston and Steven Radicevic, which is a positive step for a team that has a reputation for being short-staffed. Cincinnati had five scouts on its staff last season, and one is planning to retire.

Do they have a personal / familial connection to Mike Brown?

I was guessing it was probably close to tripling. Cincy is looking better. I think they got lucky with The Red Riffle. I don't think they knew he would be that good even though he's always been a winner. Green was almost a lock. I like the BGE signing but wish they'd gotten Bush. Some of that might be emotional for me. I like Gresham as a matchup at TE. I think Shipley has shown flashes.
D wise I think Zimmer knows what he's doing and is putting the pieces together. They need a big time pass rusher.

I have a hard time believing that guys this young will make a huge difference in the next few years. To me, this is Mike Brown trying to keep the fan base happy while still being cheap.

I think if you look again at the post I was quoting we are pretty close to the same opinion on this.

I agree, but it's a step in the right direction.
