All the JETS do is run their mouth
I saw Rex bloviating the other day, and now not only Holmes but Antonio Cromartie...
Antonio Cromartie is still listed as a cornerback, and not a wide receiver. But Cromartie says that if the Jets go through with plans to give him an extensive role in the offense, he’ll be the second-best receiver on the team.
Cromartie said today on ESPN First Take that if he has to rank himself within the Jets’ receiving corps, he’d say he’s the No. 2 option on the team.
“I think I’d put myself as second,” Cromartie said. “I haven’t really played it in the past four or five years, but I can put myself as the second just with raw ability and talent going out there, I think, me separating and being a more physical guy out there on the outside.”

I do find the Jets entertaining but all too often they don't know when to keep their mouth shut.
I guess Cromarite's ego is more important than team chemistry.
I really think it comes from the top, from signing Tebow, to their loudmouth coach, and player after player.
I love the NFL!

Cromartie may be right. He knows first hand how a corner gets beat. Over, and over.

That's a great point.

If the Jets and Rex Ryan ever win a Super Bowl......wow....even I may begin to hate the trash talkers of sports.

2012 will be either a SB victory or a complete trainwreck for the NYJ.
I just don't see anything in between.

Not much of a limb...

It won't happen...at least to start the season, but I think the Jets would be better to start Tebow at QB, incorporate a smash-mouth run-heavy offense to chew up clock and keep the defense fresh and try to win low scoring games.
They often end up trying to win low scoring games anyway, so why not go with the QB who seems better suited for it.

The Jets are a mess. It's hilarious that the media talks about Tebow/Sanchez constantly and barely mentions Eli. I'd say that's how Eli likes it though.

He may be the 2nd best after Tebow of course.

If I was Eli or any other elite QB in the NFL, I could careless if I'm ever mentioned on ESPN, especially in the preseason.

I'd say he loves it. Rex Ryan and Mark Sanchez coming to New York was the best thing to ever happen to Eli other than winning the two Super Bowls. And, if that wasn't good enough, they acquired Tebow this off-season. I suppose a reward was due for that second Super Bowl.

Which is why I said its probably just the way he likes it.
