True. It will likely cost the Browns more than it would have in the trade with the Bengals and the Bengals wind up with nothing when they would have had a draft pick.

Arizona and McCarron would be smart to look at one another. The Cards are searching for an answer at QB as they only have Stanton and Gabbard on the roster.

Hold on.....I wasnít making an argument for Daulton at all. My only point is in 4 starts and one big game I havenít seen anything from Mcarron that makes me think heís anything special either.

You might want to look up how compensatory picks work.

You are missing the part where he was leading this team to a playoff win, until his RB did what he does best. Thats why. Thats why I would have been fine with trading Dalton and resigning AJ.

BTW tell your boy to give them hell.

I have no idea if he will be special either. I never said he was. In fact I think him and Dalton are similar in both will need a lot around him to do well. I was just pointing out that I liked what I seen from him in bigger situations than what I have seen from Dalton. The moment didn't seem to big for him like it seems for Dalton imo. Which he did that with less experience. So I would have loved to see what he could have done as the starter for this team, because we know what we are with Dalton.

The law suit has nothing to do with compensatory picks.

^ correct. every team that loses someone to free agency gets compensatory picks in the late rounds of the draft.

Only if they don't go out and sign a certain amount of free agents on their own for a certain price. It's a weird formula they use to set that.

Yes. The lawsuit made him an unrestricted free agent (UFA). Just like Zeitler and Whitworth were. Under NFL rules if you lose an UFA and don't sign one to replace him you get a compensatory pick. Lose 3 and only sign 1 and you get 2 picks, etc. That's how it works. So the Bengals may get something and since they are not usually very active in signing free agents they probably will.

I lost my grievance(one of several) with the team. They hired Marvin back.

Not a good free agent start for AJ.
