The Broncos are my favorite in the AFC. Their Defense is up there with the Steelers and Ravens, not to mention Peyton Manning

He'd better lead them farther than that. I think he will.

SD barely over Denver. Oakland will stink and KC won't be good.

This one has the potential to get really interesting!
I LOVE Peyton but I think people are totally overlooking how much Tebow kept Den defense off the field and fresh. Not anymore! Every year SD is going to win the Super Bowl. Expectations aren't as high this year. I think they win the Division. KC is a team everybody is sleeping on. A healthy Eric Berry changes that Def. 2 headed monster at RB. McCluster is a matchup problem. Oak is changing culture. I think they are number 4. McFadden has to stay healthy.

This is the toughest division to pick for me. I think any of the 4 could win. All 4 teams have talent and a lot of ifs.

Denver - If Peyton remains healthy and playing at a high level, it completely transforms their offense and their team. I think the WR's are better than we've seen. Best-case scenario is that Peyton leads a high-scoring offense and the defense can play with a lead and utilize its biggest strength, pass rushing, with Dumervil and Miller.

San Diego - Rivers needs to return to Pro Bowl form for starters. And, they need their primary offensive weapons to stay healthy (Mathews and Gates). If that happens, the offense will be very good. The defense should be solid at the least, especially if the offense plays as it should.

Kansas City - Plenty of talent on offense, but it has to be healthy. The question mark is Cassel. If he can get it done, they have surrounded him with the weapons. Charles will be back and Peyton Hillis gives them a guy to pound between the tackles with. Bowe is very good and Breaston is a nice slot guy. They need Baldwin to step up. Moeaki is a solid TE. The defense should be better. It has talent. Better play from the offense should help. I think the Chiefs are another sleeper team.

Oakland - The post-Al era begins for sure this year. It will be interesting to see how it plays out. Does Carson Palmer have anything left? The answer to that question determines the Raiders chances. Still, I think they're a 4th place team in 2012.

My pick? I'll go with San Diego. I thought about going with KC, but I just don't like the coaching hire. I'm not sold on Romeo as a head man.

In one rating that I saw the Broncos have the toughest schedule in the NFL this year. Not sure they are the lock everyone including me thought that they were...hope so but not sure.

The team's in the west have some talent. If they play to it, it should be a competitive division.

If the Chiefs stay healthy, I believe they could make things interesting. Cassel definitely has the offensive support around him.
