A casual person (non-fan) watches regardless of who is playing, to see the commercials, halftime show or just for the "Event" nature of it. Most non-fans don't care who is playing in it, they are going to watch it and they wouldn't know Brady, Brees or Big Ben if they walked right up to them.

Agree. The casual fan couldn’t care less who is playing.

Ive said the past 2 months. The Jags are the only team in the AFC that could beat the Pats. Itll be a big mountain to climb but theyre built to beat him.

The casual person watches the commercials and visits the buffet/bar during the game.

I like Jacksonville’s chances more than I would have Pittsburgh. Jacksonville has a very good defense but likely not good enough to beat New England on the road. I think that the game will be close though.

Go watch the Patriots vs Titans game film from yesterday. Three blind mice and three stooges combined. Pats have the refs right where they want them, like always.

    Talk about home cooking!!!!!!!!!!!!

Should be a good game, I just can't envision a Blake Bortles led Jaguars offense putting up enough points to win it. Patricia and Belichick are going to make Bortles beat them. They'll stack the box to stuff Fournette and then bring the house on passing downs.

On the other side of things, the Patriots will do what they do and that's the short quick hitters and screens to set up the downfield game. If I'm Jacksonville's defense I'm concerned about Gronk. Vance McDonald got whatever he wanted yesterday for Pittsburgh. Can't imagine what Gronk will do if they don't change things up drastically.

    I'm going New England 27-17.

I can't see TB losing this one but it would be pretty awesome to see Blake Bortles give a big middle finger to all the doubters.

I've heard that all year from every opponent. A lot easier said than done. Steelers stacked the box yesterday all game. New England is the favorite but I expect the game to come down to a field goal. Jags had to scheme against Bell and Brown yesterday. This week they will scheme against Gronk.

Jaguars (offensively) are basically a poor man's version of the Titans IMO.

The main difference is the Steelers defense is a lot worse than New England's.

I really hope they scheme to stop Gronk, and that it's as effective as it was yesterday (287 yards and 4 TDs)...

IMO, everyone keeps ignoring the most dynamic aspect of the Patriots offense. The three-headed dual threat backfield. Much better chance of knocking them off if you contain Lewis, Burkhead, and White as opposed to simply limiting Gronk IMO.

Everyone knows that if the Jags D even looks at Brady the wrong way they will be flagged so they're already 2 scores down.
