Why isn't Plus/Minus a Bigger Stat?Why isn't Plus/Minus a bigger stat in basketball?
Everyone gets all hyped up about Triple/Doubles but if Player A has a triple/double and while he is on the floor his team is outscored by 10 (Minus 10 for Player A) and they lose by 4 doesn't that say something?
Or say Player B and Player C have similar stats in a game.......10 points 5 rebounds 3 assist but Player B is Minus 5 and Player C is a Plus 8 while on the floor shouldn't that be significant?Advertisement

Offense sells the tickets and defense wins the game.
