Who's the Best in the NBA...This Season

We had a thread asking if Steph had passed LeBron and it was decided then, that Russ may have passed both.

So forgetting anything that has happened before this season...

Who is the best player in the NBA RIGHT NOW?

Don't just throw a name out...back it up with facts, stats or opinions.

With the Cavs now a potential playoff team without LeBron, I have to go with Steph slightly ahead. He's been simply incredible, and a blast to watch on a nightly basis. I can't wait for the generation that grows up watching him to make it to the league.

Honorable mention for Draymond Green, who benefits from having two of the best shooters of all time on his team.

Kawhi Leonard, Russ, and Kevin Durant round out my six man rotation.

It's hard to argue with this post. Right now I feel like this is where we are at in the NBA right now.

    Today's best? Steph Curry.

Now, if the playoffs start today? I'll take Lebron to lead me.

I think it's Steph. Followed closely by Westbrook, LeBron, Kawhi, and Boogie.

If there's a single thread to hang on to in the LeBron is the best player in the league debate, it's that after he and the coach are separated, we say, "now we'll find out if this guy can coach."

Spoelstra has done better than I thought they would do without Lebron. Granted it is still the East but when Wade is on the court the Heat are top 4 in the East.

Agreed. Love Wade, would hate to be counting on his health to make a playoff run. Also, the east is slightly better this season, so I give Spoelstra one thumb up, and the neurons are firing to raise the other arm. So that's like a B-.

The East has more .500 teams than the West.

Of course, part of that might be the way the Warriors, the Spurs and the Thunder are beating up on the teams located on the left side of the map.

After watching every superstar play, I have to go with Steph Curry for the best player in the game. 30 PPG, 5 RPG, 7 APG, 2 SPG on 51-45-91 and vastly underrated defense. LeBron is still a beast, but I think he coasts during the regular season, which he can because his team is amazing.

    Right now, it is Steph.

My main reason for it is his team's dominant performance and the fact that he leads them. Add to this the fact that Lebron and Westbrook can't beat this guy, and it clinches it for me.

It is still a very close debate, however.
