    Congrats Warriors!
Take away 2 of the Hall of Famers from him, tell him he is the leader of the team and watch him self destruct.

However maybe I am a "creature of the present". I still think LBJ is a great player and still possibly the greatest of all, but I can't help but to think that he knew he was outgunned. I love watching him play the game. I'll put him right up there in the conversation though. I don't think the NBA has seen a player like him (he's a football player and I think he'd dominate that game too). Just a true athlete if there ever was such a thing. He just bit off more than he could chew this year.

His legacy in this game has still yet to be written. IMO, in the next year or two his legacy will or may upgrade him to the GOAT status because we'll see him elevate another team into contenders.
LeBron still absolutely has a chance to be the GOAT in my opinion. I read somewhere that out of all of the Finals he has been in(9 of them in all) his team has only been the betting favorite 2-3 of those times. So in reality he’s gotten the most out of all of his teams at about a 90% clip throughout his whole NBA career. There isn’t a player who can boast that same kind of percentage. I get that people hate LeBron for their own silly reasons. I hate MJ for silly reasons and will go to my grave hating MJ for silly reasons. It’s what we do as humans. However, I cannot refuse to say that MJ isn’t the GOAT because of those silly reasons. I ain’t stupid. I’m petty but I’m not stupid. I think a lot of these reasons people are using to try to deny LeBron’s true place in the game are as silly as my reasons for hating MJ. As you said, his legacy has yet to be written and I wouldn’t be surprised if when it is all said and done that it is more clear on whether or not he is better than MJ. I don’t care what anyone says, the argument is extremely compelling at this very moment that LeBron is better than MJ but people are too stubborn and full of hate to let that true conversation be as glorious as it could be.

If Team LeBron was serious about not revealing it to avoid being used as an excuse, then he wouldn’t have ever said a thing, or made sure he let us all see the cast in his post-game presser.

Team LeBron doesn’t care what people think. They never have and they never will. That’s always been clear. That’s why he put the cast on immediately. He doesn’t care if people thinks it is an excuse. His hand hurt. The man spends 1.5 million on his body yearly so he can play 104 consecutive games every season. He doesn’t care what his haters think about his cast.

Now you’re just being silly for the sake of being silly.

How so? What proof is there that Team LeBron cares what people think? This is Team LeBron not Team KD.

If I was going to criticize anything I would criticize him saying his hand was broke but the medical diagnosis being released is that it is a severe bone contusion.

I also think that if Team LeBron wanted to make excuses then they’d just go on ahead and pull the Greyhound bus over to JR Smith’s locker and proceed to throw him under the bus.

I don’t think they care what people think. I think they are dramatic but overall I don’t think LeBron is literally saying, “I need to tell them my hand is broke and that is why my jumper was broke these last 3 games.” I truly think it comes from a, “my hand is jacked, season is over, I’ll pay the fine for not disclosing my injury but will someone please put a cast on my hand before it has to get amputated” place.

His hand had apparently been hurting for a week and he didn’t let anybody see it in that amount of time... He couldn’t wait 15 more minutes? It was calculated.

I wouldn’t wait. I’d have put the cast on while I was walking to the locker room.

LeBron shook hands with the Golden State starters when he left the game and folks still got mad at him saying he should have shaken hands with the entire Golden State roster after the game.

I love to pile on LeBron, but that didn’t bother me. He satisfied his sportsmanship requirement.

I thought so too. I appreciate sincere postgame handshakes than the obligatory good game handshakes. He made a point to shake hands with all of the starters. He doesn’t need to shake hands with Nick Young.
