Default Track Anthony Davis in the Olympics

It was great to see Anthony Davis walk with Team USA at the Opening Ceremony. He seems like such a nice kid. Glad to see such great things happen for him.

It will be interesting to see if makes an impact at some point in the tournament.

NCAA Player of the year, MVP of the Final Four, #1 pick of the NBA draft and very likely Olympic Gold. Have they given out the Nobel Peace Prize yet? What is left, American Idol, the Bachelor?? Dude is on a roll.

Question: Is he the youngest American Olympian on the Basketball team? The last year of College only was '88 and I don't think anyone else was 19 yrs old on any past rosters.

I doubt he sees playing time in any meaningful games/moments. I hope I am wrong.

I agree. I hope he gets to play a lot but don't see it happening.

I haven't looked too far into it but I've seen multiple journalists say it on twitter after Larry Vaught put it up on twitter.

@vaughtsviews: Kobe Bryant on Anthony Davis: I took him under my wings. Everywhere I go, he goes. He has a lot of talent. I’m excited to see him grow.

Unfortunately you can only like something once, I would love to see AD have the same kind of success as Kobe, love AD and I've always liked Kobe as well.

Anthony played 8 minutes in the 4th quarter against France. He had 3 points, 3 rebounds and 1 block. He looked a bit tentative at first but played some solid minutes.

A.D. missed an ally oop dunk but came back to connect on an ally oop dunk the next trip down the court. He blocked the French center's shot and came away with the ball.

Team USA is pretty thin at the center position. If Chandler gets into foul trouble or gets dinged up, Anthony could get some meaningful minutes at some point in the tournament.

I've thought the same, depending on the opponent and their lineup he could be necessary, fortunately we know he's capable. Kid can flat out play ball.

Nice intro on the the kid.

I guess you could have a better year, but it would have to involve Scarlett Johansson.

He looks thicker to me, which is a good thing in my opinion for him.

Was thinking the same thing, they showed a pic of him going up for a dunk and he actually looked like he had some biceps and shoulders on him.
