Track Anthony Davis in the Olympics

Tyson Chandler was on Mike and Mike this morning. He was taking some ribbing for his lack of scoring in the 156 point outburst against Nigeria yesterday.

Chandler responded by pointing out that the Knicks had accounted for 39 points (... his 2 and Carmelo Anthony's 37).

Team USA defeats Lithuania in a nail-biter. The final score was 99-94.

Coach K. does not put Anthony Davis into the game. Team USA struggles.

Any reason as to why Davis didn't get any action, he's played great so far.

Perhaps, they're hoping the other teams haven't kept his stats the past few games.

They haven't really been mind blowing. He's just been a highlight reel, that's for sure. Playing great basketball, nonetheless. Not to mention, it's a blast to watch him play with Melo, DWill and CP3 throw him oops.

Davis came in with 7:32 left in the 4th quarter on Monday against Argentina. Team USA was up 107-83. D. Williams immediately tried an in-bounds lob to Davis that was partially tipped away. Off a pass from Williams, Davis drove the lane for 2 with about 6 minutes left.

The teams were a bit chippy by this time. Carmelo was on the receiving end of a cheap shot to the groin on a made 3 at the end of the 3rd quarter. Early in the 4th quarter Westbrook jammed over one of Agentina's bigs, stared him down (briefly) and picked up a technical foul.

Argentina made a post pass to their big man who muscled Davis back into the paint. He leaned back threw a partial elbow and went in for the score but Davis blocked the shot to start a fast break and layup the other way.

At 4:05 Davis had a strong rebound. He missed a lob - jam from Chris Paul at 3:15. At 2:15 Davis lost his man who drove for an easy 2. Davis had another rebound at the 22 second mark.

Team USA takes on the blokes from Australia this afternoon at 5:15.

He missed a contested layup off a pass from Hardin at 2:39. A.D. grabbed a defensive rebound at 1:36. He missed a shot off a lob from Westbrook at 1:04. He grabbed another defensive rebound at the 45 second mark. Anthony D. grabbed an offensive rebound and had his put back shot blocked at the buzzer.

Final USA 199- Australia 86.
