He thanked him for his help. He used not making varsity to drive him and it hurt him personally that he didn't make varsity. Who cares? MJ called out Dean Smith and others in his HOF speech too. It's not like this is a big revelation. I still say this idiot writer has no right to say MJ should help anyone with his cash.

A player can be cut in the NFL with the team knowing they probably can sign them right back to the practice squad. So if they sign them right back to the practice squad, does that mean he was not really cut? Its basically the same case here, he was cut from the Varsity squad and then asked to still stay on as a JV player though. 
Before anyone decides to reply to this, know that I am just joking haha. I honestly have never consider being just on the JV team as being cut either. Jordan is the first person I have ever heard actually say they were cut when really they were just not on the Varsity but was on the JV still.
