    Lakers Buyout Luol Dengís Contract

    Luol Deng bought out

Whoís eating up the newly-aquired cap space? Who do the Lakers give up to get Jimmy Buckets? Iím afraid itís Lonzo+ and I love the idea of Lonzo and Bron on the same team.

^ Next year space to get another max player. I guess it could be used a little this year assuming they are in position at the deadline to compete with GS and BOS.

Paul Pierce is predicting Anthony Davis to be traded to LA or Boston by the All Star Break.

Does this give LA a chance to make it happen?

AD is head and shoulders above any player on the roster who would be involved in the trade, and I think he puts them in the WCF ahead of Houston, depending on the cost of acquiring him. That said, I think theyíll play for a spot in the WCF without him.

Money aside(like money is ever put aside in the NBA) is five or six extra games enough to warrant blowing up a young core with potential?

LeBron isnít on his standard one-year deal, so I think he might be willing to be a little more patient. Whether that means waiting until the trade deadline or the Ď19-20 season, I donít know.

I do know he has never had a big as good as AD, so thatís intriguing.

Iíll never root for the Lakers, but Iíll always root for LeBron, and I think either way, his situation in LA is one heís happy to be in.
