Jimmy Butler Traded to the 76ers

For Robert Covington, Dario Saric, and a 2022 second round pick.

    76ers also get Justin Patton.

I'll be interested to see if KAT body language changes now. The times I've watched the wolves this year it's looked as though he's just going through the motions.

I loved Butler on the T-Wolves but I like him on the Sixers I am excited.

Apparently Thibs said he would no longer play Butler after going winless on the west coast swing due to the dysfunction.

I think this is about the best Minnesota could have done once Josh Richardson came off the table. Covington brings good wing defense and both he and Saric can stretch the floor, something Jimmy couldn’t do.

Interested to see how Butler handles being the third best player on a team, despite thinking he will be the best.

I don’t see him as the 3rd best. He is better than Simmons.

In a vacuum, maybe. But I think you ask 30 GMs who they would take between Simmons and Butler, 30 GMs would take Ben Simmons because of his ability to make the team around him better as a PG.

Philly’s expectations have gone from Eastern Conference borderline-contender to full-on contender. Biggest issue I see with them is they’ve unloaded, since last season, three of their better shooters. All three are injury liabilities, but I think it can work.

Sixers have been my team since the Royals moved to Kansas City-Omaha. Hopefully, they can obtain a shooter much like they did Bellinini and Ilyasova last season.

Butler seems like the guy destined to never play on a very good team. One of those super talented players that inevitably every teammate will hate as his team loses the first round in five games each season.

Had to know it was only a matter of time....Butler is at odds with Philly & Coach Brett Brown.

Dude isn't good enough to deal with the headache he causes. Cancer.

Reporting with @Ramonashelburne: Philadelphia’s Jimmy Butler has aggressively challenged coach Brett Brown on All-Star’s role in 76ers offense, complicating an already-tenuous chemistry among team’s Big 3 hierarchy. Story on ESPN.

At some point the mirror has to reflect back to Butler but if hes blind he'll never see it.
