Thibs confirms today that he expects Butler to suit up Wednesday for the season opener.

Butler is out for the second time in as many weeks. Last week it was for "precautionary rest." Tonight, coming off his best game as a Timberwolf, it is for "precautionary rest and general soreness." What a disaster.

No big deal a lot of players take games off long season.

They’re going to have to lower their price. I don’t see how they can expect to function as long as he is still there.

We do like we did tonight and have D-Rose go for 50!

No, I’m with you. Get him out of there, even at a lower price. Dude loves dysfunction but that is not what this (or any) team needs.

Iíve never been a big D-Rose guy but tonight made me smile. I hope it is a sign of things trending up for him.

Buckets must be exhausted, because when he rests, he doesn't even show up to the stadium. Dude can't get out of bed.

Once Rose got picked up by the Wolves last season, something clicked. I think he realized it was his last chance and he has played his tail off. Knock on wood, but I know he is going to hurt himself at some point because he now goes all out on the basketball court. He is still erratic, but I can't knock his on-court hustle.

Butler is opting to sit out again tonight for “precautionary rest.” Butler told the media yesterday he will let the Wolves know what games he will play. As Bill Simmons said yesterday, this is “one of the most embarrassing seasons by a *star* in recent memory.”

I don’t understand why the Wolves are keeping him around. Move that man. Quickly.

I like Jimmy but he isn’t doing himself any favors. It’s a good thing he said this isn’t about money.

Another thing Bill Simmons said on today's pod is that he doesn't understand why the Wolves simply don't suspend him. I am not sure how that works, but at some point it become insubordination, doesn't it?

Butler has no grasp on his standing in the NBA hierarchy. I honestly believe he lacks self-awareness and thinks he is a top three player in the league and a borderline Hall of Fame candidate.

And what is the old saying. When a player says it isn't about the money, it is all about the money.

Butler has accomplished what he wanted from the onset. He is forcing his way out by burning down a village. He is loving this.

    He’s definitely loving it.

I wonder why they haven’t suspended him. That’s a great question.
