Golden State 119 Houston 106 - Western Conference Finals (Game 1)

Page 2 of Chuck said it best at halftime when the score was tied at 57 that both squads were scoring but Golden State was scoring much easier. I thought Houston ... 42 comments | 7115 Views | Go to page 1 →

Without KD the Warriors are very very good, with him they are nearly unbeatable.

The Decision is what made me initially dislike LeBron. The crying, flopping, and LeBron stans have solidified my hatred.

While Houston's offense flourished in the regular season, it's not good enough to beat the Warriors, especially when Harden and CP3 are basically playing iso ball. Harden scored 40+ at home with an "off night" for Steph and they still lost. KD and Harden are basically a push. All Houston has left is CP3. GS has Steph, Klay, Draymond, Swaggy P, etc...

If Houston doesn't win tomorrow night, they will be swept.

I'm not a fan or hater of either of them, but there is no way KD has had more scrutiny on his move to GS than LBJ did on his move to Miami. Fans aside the media still brings up LBJ's move to Miami when ever they want to criticize him. I never hear a talking head on any sports talk or telecast criticise KD for going out west to get his title.

Paul Pierce, Ray Allen, KG and Rondo had the first Super Team. Not LeBron, Wade, Bosh.

KD deserved the criticism because he said it is weak to join a Super Team, criticized LeBron for doing it and then turned around and did the same damn thing. KD took some heat but LeBron took more heat than KD. Even more so when Dallas won the title.

Houston's mantra has been to outscore every team. They ain't outscoring the Warriors.

LeBron created the Super Team era with The Decision. He created and deserves every bit of criticism he's gotten because of it.

LeBron has also made comments about people joining super teams. He started it. Quit crying.

I think they all deserve criticism over it. No problem with that. LeBron took more heat than KD is all I am saying. Because he did.

You can’t keep skipping over The Big 3 in Boston. They created the Super Team era. LeBron couldn’t beat them so he went to Miami. Weak old Ray Ray, Studio Gangster KG and Drama Queen Paul Pierce started that whole era.

I’ve found it coincidental that their defense has “improved” this season and their pace of play slowed down. It’s easy to make your defense look good when you slow the game down. They were good at what they did and how they executed but it isn’t enough to beat the Warriors.

There is something to be said about slowing the pace, but Paul and Capella have been solid on defense all year (I am a huge Capella fan). Harden is still garbage on defense and I assure you he will fold like a cheap tent with all chips on the table.

I always saw the Celtics' Big 3 as a collection of guys entering the back 9s of their careers looking to hit it big. And they did. We had seen that before with Houston in the 90s, Lakers in '04 with Fat Shaq. There are Super Teams, and there are Super Super Teams with all pro type talent like Miami, Cleveland, and Golden State.

Ehhhh, Paul, Ray and KG were still pretty damn good. Back 9 for sure but Kobe was on the back 9 of his career and when the Big 3 formed it was Celtics, Lakers, Lakers winning the next three titles. LeBron had to go to Miami to beat the Big 3. It’s not like they were washed.
