Same here. The thing that he brings is a legitimate scorer for when LeBron's getting a breather on the bench.

How Jose Calderon is getting paid for being out there right now I just don't understand. Might as well be playing 4 on 5.

Hey stranger! Been waiting for you to wade into the pro forum. Welcome back.

Really liked what I saw from Thomas in this game. That no look was sick! Happy the Land has someone else who can create and score, giving LBJ a chance to shed some minutes too.

Now, about the unlimited potential of Olynyk ...

I’m not sure how the experiment will work. I love Thomas but he needs the ball in his hands, especially going for his max deal that he wants.

And the Cavs are already the second worst defensive team in the league... IT may be the biggest defensive liability in the game. Maybe he can’t be any worse than what’s out there now, but in THE moments the Cavs are extremely flawed on that end of the court.

Luckily for them, the Warriors are going to score on anybody Cleveland runs out there. Looks like a case of just trying to score more points than them to me.

Swap out IT for Pat Beverly, who by all definitions is a great defender, and I think Cleveland is worse suited for the Finals.

Maybe they wouldn't be any worse suited, but I am not betting on IT bringing any more of a dynamic presence on the offensive end than the Cavs already have.

Outside of Bron, Love, and I feel silly for including him, but he gets buckets, JR, are there any Cavs who make opposing defenses sweat? Jeff Green? Korver? You wouldn't say IT is more dynamic than anyone I listed?

IT is one of the best scorers in the league. I am not certain is going to mesh well with LeBron. IT is used to playing with the ball in his hands... he is going to get his come hell or high water, which means others will decrease in production. I am not seeing a huge net gain like some are believing will happen. LeBron has shown he can get his troops to fall in line with his style of play, but not sure IT will be a willing participant in LeBron's system. And as already noted, they will most certainly drop off on the defensive end, something they were already poor at doing.

    Wade, Bosh, Kyrie, Love.

All ball dominant players. All successful with the King.

None are in IT’s stratosphere, but my overall point is I don’t see the addition of Thomas giving the Cavs a big offensive lift. I’m sure he will be integrated fine, but it will be at the expense of others.

Jose Calderon is averaging about 18 minutes a game. During that time he's averaging 3 shots...three! There is absolutely ZERO pressure on the guy defending him...which allows for one of two things to happen for his opponent. One, he can take a vacation at that end of the court, and save his energy for the offensive end...or, two, he can sag back and overplay on the double teams and switches. Like I said before, when Calderon is on the court, it's like playing 4 on 5 when the Cavs are on offense.
