  1. Just curious. Have any women voted in this poll?
  2. Characteristics of SNAP Households - Kentucky Stats/facts on "SNAP" FNA "food stamp" recipients in KY in case anyone wants to review before posting anything else. Just want people to be well informed.
  3. Score in 2002 was 31-24, Highlands. It was a pretty good game, hardly a blow-out. I don't know who will win this week so I'm planning on going to the game. Both teams have had great seasons and I'm happy they have the opportunity to play the day after Thanksgiving. I'm not sure I'd tag the Catholic team of 2005 the best ever talent wise (with a few notable exceptions), but they came together as a TEAM, and got it done. Good luck to both sides! Let's hope the weather is good and nobody gets hurt.
  4. LexCath was 4A in 2008. They did not play Highlands in the play-offs. (5A).
  5. It was 2005 when LexCath blanked Highlands and went on to win their first state title.
  6. This is a policy designed to divert federal dollars for cash grants to private industry. It also drums up more business to the private contractor who performs the tests. I believe their governor made millions on government programs (Medicaid and Medicare) prior to his election. A poor person (or a grandmother taking care of grandchildren) has to be tested, at their own expense, before their application is approved. In some areas of the state, like the rural Panhandle, they have to travel several miles, to the contractor's site. The website encourages people to purchase the more expensive battery of tests just in case they get a false positive. The policy does nothing to address the root problems of drug addiction, does not provide for treatment, and sets up another barrier for poor people who don't use drugs. Child protective services are extremely expensive and there are not enough "foster parents" to meet the demand.
  7. Childhood nickname....and I am not Casey Anthony's nanny
  8. Looks like a younger version of his middle aged wife
  9. Is Bell County the place where they have baked potatoes? I haven't been there recently but remember the food being really good.
  10. It has been my experience, the people with the loudest mouths (the woman who sits behind me) are those who don't know anything about the game. Real fans don't boo their own team, which is what happened last week.
  11. He'll be a sophomore this fall. Attended Catholic schools all the way up to high school..definitely not a "transfer"
  12. Iams. Soften it up with chicken broth. For a special treat, heat it up in the microwave. I keep a box of broth in the fridge at all times.
  13. A question for the Bell County fans-- were there any "presents" on the visitor's side of the field? Last year during the play offs we sat in ketchup, this year we smelled a combination of deer urine and manure. It's a shame some Rebel fans are such poor hosts. It detracts from the team and town. We weren't treated that way at Lone Oak.....
  14. Most of LC's JV team from last year are now varsity starters. There are several freshman playing on LC's JV team this year.
