Regular students working to pay for college is a weak argument. Specialized labor gets higher pay. Athletics is basically specialized labor for the University.

What do you expect man? Of course they're going to be overprotective of their favorite team's quarterback. Having a winning record hasn't come easily to UK for a while, and now Heisman talk will definitely get them excited. A little bias is to be expected. I don't understand why it bothers you that much.

The only thing that I would worry about, is when the polar caps reverse, the magnetic field protecting Earth would be weaker or down altogether, making radiation and debris from space much more of a problem...And some believe the reversal is in it's early stages and can take years or decades to complete. But who knows? I believe the large majority of it is just "doomsday" talk; the same kind of crap that happened back in 1999.
