  1. :thumb: Just joking around here. I do have to say that it is interesting that westsider has not posted his comments about the outcome and the total domination of JC in this game. I know it kills his soul for someone east of I-75 to win a game like this against one of the Louisville big boys or of anyone else west of I-75, but I would like to hear his take. I'm sure that if JC would have gotten drilled we would have had to listen to the I told you so's 5 minutes after the game was over.
  2. Right now, former staff ace Adam Walker (2006 grad) is the pitching coach there.
  3. Not only does he know his Ohio football, but oh my gosh, he knows just about everything about Kentucky football as well. I highly doubt that you will hear anything from Prime2007 about this game.
  4. Touchdown Chase Richardson XP Good Johnson Central 48 Louisville Central 15
  5. Correction: Extreme Eastern County seat is Johnsonville:D No really , it's Paintsville.
  6. Perhaps too good of a job. Imagine hitting one of these monsters in a compact car. I think that maybe eastern Kentucky is still a little much populated for animals of this size to roam about and stand around on the highways. I know they are beautiful and magnificant animals to look at, but I think that wider open spaces are a safer enviroment for these animals, and especially for humans. White tailed deer are safety hazards enough.
  7. At this point Johnson Central could probably play another local powerhouse team and still bring in a big gate payday and more than likely would come out money ahead to schedule another high level team of special interest, but it is very obvious that Paintsville cannot bring fans to the stands at this point in time. Johnson Central fans probably outnumbered Paintsville fans last night by a 6 to 1 ratio. If the money was split porportionaly it would be about a 15k payoff for JC rather than the 9k that came with the equal split. When Paintsville had the regional runner up team in 2005 their fans did not even fill half of the home side bleachers when they hosted the playoffs. I remember Lynn Camp coming into town that year and bringing more fans than what Paintsville had supporting them in their home stadium. Keep in mind also at this game there was many JC fans in attendance for that game that helped fill several seats on the Paintsville side. For some reason there just does not seem to be the interest in the football program that there once was even when Paintsville has had some pretty good teams, and that was a pretty good 1A football team that year. If playing in the playoffs for all the marbles cant bring the fans out, then it sounds reasonable that they cant play anyone else other than JC that would put fans in the stands to help support the athletic budget. This is a must game for Paintsville right now, and one that is not nearly as important for JC as far as revenue production. They could draw other teams that would generate almost as much fan interest and not have the 50/50 split. I think the Touchstone Energy Bowl is a good indication of that fact. As a matter of fact Paintsville will continue to lose money by playing this game on their home field when it rotates because of the lack of fan accomodation. They come out much better financialy to play this game at Eagle field. Paintsville needs to hope that for whatever reason Johnson Central decides that this game continues to be played. If you are Paintsville, something has to produce revenue to keep the lights on over on Jefferson Avenue.
  8. I'm saying this kindly. All of us have to grow up at some point in our lives. There is only one person over 18 that should be gloating. I wonder if Thom Cochran will be wearing a Black and Gold Jersey around town celebrating that butt kicking that he gave Bill Mike in the battle of the AD's?
  9. Ya'll remember the time when these threads would get so personal and nasty that they would be shut down a couple of times before the game would actually be played, then same thing with the post game threads? My how times have changed. Is everyone in Johnson County finally becoming civil?
  10. You said that Wheelersburg was a slow, grind it out type of team. Perhaps you are the one that should watch them play. I already have and they are in no way that type of a team. They do have a lot of speed , but admittingly with no one of the calibre of Shawnie Lewis. He really stands out amongst everyone else on the field and his abilities are utilized to the maximum in Woodford County's offensive and special teams stategy. He is a very special player and his talents are obviously showcased. Other than him though, I would not say that it is all that much more obvious that Woodford as a whole is that much faster.
  11. And I'm sure the thoughts of getting on here just to argue with everyone else on this board never even entered your mind?:argue:
