How will the 4th team from the HHS district be determined for the playoffs? I assume the 5th place team from another district will be slotted to play as the #4 seed in the HHS district.

Lots of the questions are legitimate based on his last 3 games of last year (Houston, UK & LSU). Throw in the awful 1st half against Wake and it's 3.5/4. Would be interested to see if most of the underclassman Heisman winners came into the following season as the favorite. If yes, which would be understandable, there is not much of a "story" in the favorite going wire to wire unless he dominates. As such, maybe it helps him to be ranked 5th....

Hollow admission after the fact. At least now they are on the record when he tries to pull the same stunt - and other organizations hopefully have seen the "blowback" they will get for knuckling under to this clown is worse than him taking his ball and going home when he thinks he is being treated unfairly.

At a minimum, remove the conflict and allow states to experiment (as they are doing anyway).

Shame on adidas. Shame on whatever official pulled the female ref to keep BBB in the building. Shame on the 2 male officials working with the female that continued to ref the game after she was pulled. Shame on the male official who replaced her (assuming he knew why he was needed and didn't just assume it was an injury). Shame on ESPN (and others) for continuing to point cameras and microphones in his direction.

Agreeing with Jesse. It's a new thing for me. I kinda like it. When listening to discussions of the new Dem slogan ("A Better Deal" - meh), I wondered to myself what would happen if they got radical and tried to beat the Republicans at their own "spin game" and adopted the right's old adage "Government - it's your safety net, not a hammock" as their slogan.

Impeachment is not a "criminal" function. It is a political one. As such, impeachment is now and always has been whatever the House (indict) and Senate (convict) say it is. Given that construct, not sure how Roger Stone can argue there is "not enough evidence." He can certainly argue, which I assume he is, that in his opinion nothing Trump has done is an impeachable offense. So far from what we know, I agree.

As written, I assume Jesse was long-quoting the bible. Similarly assumed Deuce called that "preaching." If those assumptions are correct, not sure there is any way you can avoid labeling it as "preaching." Maybe I am missing something.

Glad I read the whole thread before responding. You start out here citing "science" and "biology" but end up citing God and quoting bible stories. Can't argue with cult belief, so won't try. Peace be with you.

Fake tough guy. Results? Criminals go free as a result of tainted evidence gathering and coerced statements. States and municipalities paying out large verdicts to same criminals who were treated "rough" as encouraged by POTUS.

Yeah. Political correctness changed the old "fact" of the world being flat into round as well. Darn PC culture driving Aristotle to such heresy.

Fine for your opinion, but you should be aware that the PROFESSIONALS in this area are evolving on this topic. "In 2014, the WHO acknowledged that linking transgender people to mental illness is harmful and pledged to remove the link from their next International Statistical Classification of Diseases and Related Health Problems (ICD)óbut this version isnít slated for release until sometime in 2017."

Ask plenty of military (then and probably now) if they liked the idea of serving with a black person / Jew / white person / gay person / woman, etc. and you would have gotten a lot of "no" votes. The military is the last place where anyone should suggest that "majority rules, even when they're dead wrong." It was wrong with those bans and it is wrong with this ban. Judgment should be made on force readiness, not gender orientation.

Feed the base some "red meat" and throw the media attention off of the "other distractions" his administration is engaged in. If he really wanted unit cohesion and cost reduction, he would have had an implementing strategy instead of a "tweet storm." As indicated above, Joint Chiefs have said "business as usual until we get a formal order / plan."

Why wouldn't you want that determined on a case-by-case basis by a professional rather than a blanket statement about a group of people?

Agree that protesting the actual scouts in 2000 was wrong. That said, it was during a time when the BSA position on homosexuality in scouting was very restrictive (as were many viewpoints on homosexuality at that time). Of course, the BSA position has "evolved" (like most of society) on the subject such that the ban for membership was removed in 2014 and the ban on adult leaders being gay was removed in 2015. I would argue the error in 2000...

Any of the Trump supporters care to defend his speech / ramblings to the National Boy Scout Jamboree? Focus on his "fake news" and "fake polls" diatribe during the speech was inappropriate. I have no problem with his "You're fired" joke to Tom Price about getting the healthcare votes since it was obviously a joke. Media outlets focusing on this line show their bias. This was not the audience for lines such as "killing this horrible...

As pointed out above, unless and until folks are willing to turn away those who cannot pay and withhold service from them (regardless of the outcome), we already have universal HC. The costs of those services are spread out to those who do have insurance or the ability to pay. Additionally, it pushes those without insurance to the least efficient providers of services - urgent care and ERs AND it forces them to those providers when their...

He has the option, like any other citizen facing criminal exposure. That said, as a police officer there will ultimately be consequences if he fails to cooperate with the investigation. Outside of any potential criminal exposure, he could definitely lose his job and potential benefits he has earned simply as a result of his failure to cooperate and tell what happened in the investigation. That said, the fact that he has a union representing him...

I'm closer to AllenR here. Not a spoiler, but if you don't know going in that there are 3 separate stories on 3 different timelines that will converge, it is pretty confusing and hard to follow for the 1st 1/3 to 1/2 of the movie. Additionally, there is very little dialogue and much of the small amount of dialogue that was there was very hard to hear / understand. Low volume and heavy accents didn't help. Couple of stirring scenes where you'd...

Lots of theories that Trump and his people are the leakers in this instance - despite his tweets complaining about leaks, of course, without denying the leaks are accurate.
