  1. Over the past decade, I think it's rather apparent that Boyle has been closing the gap. Otherwise, for all and any other programs who want to be among the elite, its a matter of an all-in mentality that includes undivided support from students, parents, communities and the school systems. It's not a matter of having one of the four, or three of the four but ALL to become an elite, consistently tradition rich program.
  2. Lexington Christian pulled their starters midway throught the third quarter in that one. That game was a route by all means, and a good amount of Williamsburg's points came once the starting defense from LCA was celebrating on the sidelines. Harlan and Lynn Camp held Williamsburg to 28 last year. With Harlan returning nearly all of its defense, it's not a stretch to think they can hold them to one less score. Williamsburg is a solid and VERY well coached team. They have in my opinion, one of the best schemes in the mountains and they adjust according to their talent level every year almost perfectly. But to say it takes a monumental effort and a perfect game to hold them to 3 or less scores is giving them too much credit.
  3. Defensively, the key for Harlan, I think the key will be to make Williamsburg patiently move the ball on long drives, without giving up the homerun. If they can take away the big strike, and slow down the running game somewhat, I think they will win. I see Harlan moving the football well on the ground and finishing their possesions with points on the board. Harlan 30 Williamsburg 21
  4. Alcoa pulled their first team offense with 6 minutes to go in the game. So if the second team was running up the score, then so be it. I was rooting for Bell personally, but this game was every bit of what the final score indicated. Bell did all they could to hang in as long as they did, but they were simply outclassed. Outside of St. X, Trinity and Highlands noone in this state could match up with Alcoa any better than Bell did.
  5. If KC stays predominately run..... KC 42 Somerset 14 If KC spreads out and plays to Somerset's strength.... KC 28 Somerset 21
  6. Bowling Green 35 Christian Co. 14 Pretty close to what Slink is going with here....
  7. How are things going for Heath so far this season? On paper, it looks as if they should have a competitive team this season. Does anyone know who they are scrimmaging this year?
  8. Wow....and they can all move too. That's downright scary
