You have to have many other intangibles to go along with the basketball talent, this team has the talent to succeed, but doesn't have any of those other characteristics. From what I can tell, it seems that only 1 of those "star" players even tries to improve their game in the offseason.

Paintsville does return 5 key players, including Landon Slone, but I doubt Team Turmoil will make it any further next year.

Paintsville (20-8) advances to the Championship game for the 57th District Friday night with the win over their rival.

15th Region All 'A' Championship Game

Paintsville plays AAAA Milton (FL) today. They are currently 11-2 and beat Oliver Springs (TN) by 25 yesterday in the first round, Oliver Springs dropped to 8-4. Milton is led by 6'6" Adam Allen.

Paintsville wins their first game in the Brunswick Holiday Classic being played at Glynn Academy (Kwame Brown's alma mater) in Georgia. PHS started out slow and fell behind by double digits after one quarter, but then rebounded in the 2nd to take the lead before halftime. Pa'ville pulled away in the 3rd and extended their lead in the 4th to win by 13. Landon Slone led the Tigers with 21, J.D. VanHoose had 17, and Daniel Pugh 10. PHS improves to 4-1 and plays in the semifinals today, Battery Creek falls to 4-4 and plays Oliver Springs (TN) in the losers' bracket today at 3:00. Battery Creek falls at Georgia tourney :laugh:

Paintsville recovered a fumble on the Evarts 20 with about a minute to go, if they were running up the score they could have easily scored again there. Evarts was far better than I expected them to be. Congratulations on a good season and good luck next year.
