  1. The talk about under-achieving and only winning a couple regionals, when was the last time they were favored to win the region and lost? The only time I can recall is maybe back around the mid 2000's with Doug Jones and the Bramlage brothers where they lost to Ryle. For Dixie being a borderline 5A/6A school, their class of athletes has always been cyclical going back to the 90s. So it's not like there are athletes just walking around the halls not playing basketball. 2 years ago was the last class as they reached the finals where they lost to CovCath. Dixie's biggest issue has been, and always will be CovCath. Dixie's district is Edgewood, Villa Hills, and Park Hills. CovCath's biggest pull is Edgewood, Villa Hills, and Park Hills. The top athletes in their district are going to CovCath as they have the better track record. The only way Dixie can potentially make some headway is to make a home run hire, and Sullivan may be that guy from a basketball standpoint.
  2. 8th grade team this past season was solid, and I believe beat Highlands in the large school championship. The 3 he listed were the top teams in the large school division over their 7th and 8th grade seasons.
  3. Word now is that he's signing a 1 year deal with the Bengals.
  4. The amount of pain he appeared to be in along with the inability to put weight on it made it look much worse than a simple strain. I hope it is just a strain, but I also hope they’ve had an mri or ultrasound to confirm no tear. Either way, these take time to heal and if you come back too soon, you risk further damage. I just can’t see him playing effectively next week, but we’ll see.
  5. If Kinney’s injury was indeed a hamstring, and if anyone on here knows the family, tell them to stay away from St. Elizabeth. Tell him to go to Beacon and see Kremchek’s team. St. Elizabeth is horrible with hamstrings. I just went though it with my daughter.
  6. Sounding like a 7th round pick. Better than nothing.
  7. Bengals reportedly working out a trade with the Texans for Mixon instead of just releasing him.
  8. The games I watched last year, Gregg just didn't look comfortable throwing the ball. It was almost like he was scared to make a mistake. From the glimpses I've seen along with some things he's done in the offseason, I think if he just goes out there and plays without the fear of making a mistake, he can be a very good passing qb.
  9. This isn’t elementary school basketball. You do what it takes to win. And you don’t let the underdog dictate the style of play.
  10. Cory is a good guy as my daughter has guest played for him in the past. For him to be on Woeste's staff and then for Woeste to stick around to help speaks volumes of Cory. From a soccer standpoint, NDA will be just fine. It's the dealing with the parents that is going to be an adjustment for him.
  11. Apparently Indy is now out of the rotation. NBA put out new guidelines for hosting. 7250 hotel rooms with at least 3 5-start hotels. 650,000 sq ft convention center. 75 nonstop domestic flights and at least 20 international flights.
  12. Completely agree. This would be no different than Kentucky Country Day when I was last down there. Concession and bathrooms were both on trailers that were towed in for game day. The away team didn't have a locker room, and I don't recall if KCD even had one.
  13. I'm going to guess more hip and tailbone pads. I saw multiple players forced to leave games last year for the lack of. When they came back, they had those pads on but still no knee pads.
  14. Through all of this, I’m just now finding out that he applied for the UC job last year and didn’t get it.
