I cannot understand why Ohio did not run a QB sneak on 2nd down from inside the 1 yd line. UC had no one lined up over the center and the QB could have easily fallen into the endzone behind center. Instead he hands it off 5 yds. deep and the RB is is dropped for a loss, which led to the horrible pass on 3rd down. Cost them the game.

How many times did Estep get sacked, seemed like 8-10. He is still learning the QB position, and Mayfield taught him some hard lessons last night. He has been able to make plays out of nothing against most of the other teams this year, but the Mayfield defense was very disciplined and wouldn't allow him to escape. They were also able to double on #8, take away the short routes and dare anyone else to beat them deep, which didn't happen.

That could have been a 14 point swing. Give Mayfield credit though for taking advantage of it though. Mayfield is just a better team.

Corbin missing their big QB on those short yardage situations.

Looked like an obvious pass interference not called on that 4th down.

No, it was Steely. Gosselin is the WR who is out hurt for Corbin.

Corbin is getting whipped at the LOS, plus Mayfield is taking away the deep ball even if Estep had time to throw it. Haddix is trying to keep Estep healthy by not allowing him to run the ball if at all possible, which is a smart move at this point of the season in my opinion. They need to establish the running game though, and can't seem to without committing crucial holding penalties.

That was Steely, who basically only played special teams last year. He is a Jr. and is playing WR this year, possibly the fastest kid on the team

I think Tyler may send Angela home, but I don't see him or Angela beating Kaycee with the jury, so I believe the smart move for Tyler or Angela is to vote Kaycee out.

I believe Corbin is going to miss Sizemore in this game. He was able to get the tough yards necessary to sustain drives, therefore keeping the Mayfield offense off of the field. They have a running back that may be capable of taking on that load, but he hasn't been asked to do much of that yet, so the jury is still out. Mayfield 35 Corbin 21

I'm not much of a Clay Matthews fan, but what on earth could he have done differently to avoid the penalty besides not touching the QB at all?

They had to give JC the answers for him to have a chance to win.:sssh: Well at least with true/false questions, he had a 50/50 shot at getting them correct, and I kind of believe he was just guessing on every question.:lol2: He was beside himself after winning, had to feel good for him though.

Corbin has actually been a big play offense this year, which may not bode well for the Hounds in this game. They have 3 receivers averaging over 20 yards per catch, although Estep's #1 target will be out with an injury for a while and have had around 15 plays of more than 50 yards each. Beechwood get a pretty good job of taking that away and Corbin didn't do a very good job of taking what was open(the imtermediate routes) that game. The big...

There weren't a few calls in the game that went against Corbin that I didn't like, such as the illegal formation called against the QB who was under the center that brought back a TD or the illegal substitution that wiped out a 1st down late or the leaping the defender unsportsmanlike penalty, but it doesn't necessarily mean the calls were wrong.:sssh: I'm sure the Beechwood fans feel the same way, so no matter what someone is going to be...

The Beechwood defensive coaches did a very good job of mixing up their coverages and made the Corbin passing game look out of synch much of the game. Estep's big arm and ability to make something out of nothing created some opportunities for the Hounds, but Estep's inexperience at QB also showed as well. This will be a huge learning experience that I expect he will learn from and may pay dividends come playoff time.

I was very impressed with the QB. He was the only one on Beechwood who had any success running the ball as well, really surprised me that Corbin shut down their running game.

It didn't appear to me that he was hit in the head, more like the defender put his helmet to his back after the ball went through the receiver's hands in the end zone. I wouldn't have liked the call if I were a Beechwood fan, but there was really no reason to even hit he receiver and take a chance on that call being made.

I'm starting to believe that the officials are hearing the chatter and are paranoid about trying to get the calls right, which actually makes the fans on both sides question them more. It also takes away the rhythm of the game.

The long bus ride could be a negative factor, but the Corbin starters did not play in the second half of the Pulaski or Whitley Co. games, so that shouldn't be a factor.

There was a questionable call from that crew that benefited Corbin on their game winning TD drive. Corbin ran an option play and the QB received a big hit a second or two after he pitched the ball and the White Hat called a personal foul, which gave Corbin a 1st down when they would have been facing 3rd and 10 around their own 45. I guess you could call a penalty on that, but it seemed kind of harsh to me. There was also a pass interference...

King Buffet would be off of Exit 29 instead of Exit 25. Smokey Bears BBQ is also a good place to eat off of Exit 29.

Corbin had some problems with a player or two who were not dirty players, but were very aggressive and would tend to get some personal fouls called on them for not letting up quickly enough. I would recommend a couple of different places on Main St., which is really close to the stadium, one is called Wrigley's Taproom and the other is Depot on Main. If you like buffets, a lot of people think that Bubby's BBQ is the place to go, although...

I wasn't at last years game, but the radio announcers said that Corbin had 19 penalties to Beechwood's 3. I'm not sure how accurate that is though. I asked one of the asst. coaches if they got homered and he said not really. Other than a really bad pass interference call, he said most of the other penalties were more the result of the Corbin players not adapting to the way the officials were calling and Corbin being a little unfocused.
