The weather trend I've been watching is continuing. Showers and possible thunderstorms are in the forecast for Friday night. Those in western Kentucky could be in for some rough weather. According to the latest NAM runs thunderstorms some of which could be marginal severe will be possible mainly west of I-65. Checking the latest SARS some of the threat could be heavy rains, damaging winds, hail, and tornadoes. Let me reiterate that this is very...

Just wanted to give a quick update. Showers and thunderstorms are still in the forecast for both Friday and Saturday games. Some of the thunderstorms could be strong to marginally severe. One word of note the coverage and strength are still to be determined. The temps could lower some from earlier outlooks for those who are under any of the rain. I'll be able to start getting a good read on everything by Wednesday. Take care and have a...

I will give a detailed update in the morning. Just wanted to touch base with everyone. The threat for rain/thunderstorms is still there for the Friday night games. Two things I'm watching. The heat index may be kind of high for parts of western Kentucky on both Friday and Saturday evening. Heat index could be in the upper 80s to low 90s for Friday night and they could inch a little higher for any games Saturday night. Also on Saturday, for now,...

This will be very quick as I was getting ready to head to work. Temps look to be from the low to mid 70s South of I-64. North of I-64 should see temps from the low to mid-80s. Little or no rain chances. Maybe some light showers in the Lexington area.

Those who live near the Ohio River could see scattered strong to severe storms later today. Especially in Southern Indiana and Northern Kentucky. Showers and thunderstorms are forecast to be ongoing across portions of the risk area this morning. As a result, there is a degree of uncertainty with respect to the heating and destabilization across the outlook. In the areas where the cloud cover has some breaks, local destabilization will likely be...

Still no real change in the forecast. A few strong/marginally severe storms are expected later today. Damaging winds will be the main threat. Showers and thunderstorms mainly west of I-65 will diminish through midday. By early afternoon, storm redevelopment is expected. These will be scattered in nature. A few of the stronger cells are expected to produce a low-end severe wind/hail event. Have a great day

The entire state of Kentucky is in a Category 1 Marginal Risk area for scattered strong to severe storms on Monday. The main threat looks to be damaging wind gusts. This will be possible for those under the more robust storms. The tornado and hail threat is very low. I only mention them because the threat is not zero. There should be some morning showers and thunderstorms that will subside during the morning hours. The scattered strong to...

Glad you are ok. A few things to look out for. First, the pain will subside. Keep flexing it. Next, you probably will start feeling a warming or hot sensation when you touch your knee. This is normal and will go away around your sixth month. Third, ice around your knee area will be a big help with the pain. Fourth, massaging your knee and muscle areas above and below your knee. Word of caution don't start massaging your knee until the staples...

There are so far 3 confirmed tornadoes from Friday 7/20/18. Rounds of severe storms hammered southern Indiana and central Kentucky on Friday, July 20, 2018 bringing very large hail, wind damage, heavy rain, and 3 confirmed tornadoes. The largest hail report we received was 4 inches in diameter (softball size) in Tompkinsville, KY! The strongest measured wind gust was 70 mph at the Lexington Bluegrass Airport. One piece of advice. Make sure you do the physical therapy. Also, tell your physical therapist everything you feel or notice. They informed me that they have to retrain the muscles to work together again. That made my recovery so much easier.
