No real changes from yesterday except the storm system looks to be moving across Kentucky a little slower. Some could see strong storm later today. Both of the following maps go to 8 pm ET tonight. The heaviest rainfall looks to be in the western part of the state for today.

The severe storm threat maybe increasing some more since yesterday. I wouldn't be at all surprise if the Storm Prediction Center raise the threat level for parts of Kentucky from Marginal to a Slight Risk Area later today. It should be released within the next 30 minutes or so

The severe threat for Saturday is increasing. The Storm Prediction Center has most of Kentucky in a Marginal Risk Area for strong to severe storms on Saturday. A portion of South Central Kentucky is in a Slight Risk Area. A line of showers and possible thunderstorms some of which could be strong to severe looks to enter Western Kentucky early Saturday morning then move eastward across the state through out the day. This line should...

The chance still remains for possible light snow by Monday morning. The accumulation total looks to be very light. Mainly a dusting to around an inch in some areas. This will probably cause some slick road conditions for Monday rush hour in the areas that receive some snow. The precipitation looks to be out of Kentucky by late Monday morning. I really feel pretty good with the 1-3" for tomorrow. The snow looks to last a little longer than first expected by the accumulation totals should be in the range I've called for since Thursday. Now it looks to be a little more widespread than I first thought.

I'm going to say with the 1-3" as of this morning. Some probably will only see a dusting to around a 1". I'm really surprised they issued a winter storm watch so early with the models being all over the place.

I wouldn't put too much stock in totals as of yet. The models are all over the place for now. This morning they were showing some may receive 6"+ but now they are showing 1-3. I waiting for this afternoon's data to be released to see if they are still showing the 1-3". One thing of note the 12Z run of each model is showing almost the exact same totals of 1-3". I want to wait now for a couple more runs before issuing any forecast.
