I think he is expecting all of those to leave. Tatum declared just after they lost.

All true. Giving props to the Wizards and Celtics for being in the position they are in. Brad Stevens is the man.

With the location of the Final Four I can see people being able to get in last minute for virtually nothing. Even from Eugene or Spokane most are going to fly to Glendale.

And the Wizards would be 2 games back of the Cavs for the #2 seed (Raptor 3 games back). The Cavs should still breeze to the Finals, but what I would find most troubling if you are Cleveland fan is how poorly they have been defensively. I guess they believe they can flip the defensive switch when they need to, but man have they been brutal of late.

In college basketball you always keep the guy that has the ball in his hand the majority of the time. Unless it is Anthony Davis :D

I am ready for Kennedy Meeks to move on. The guy has always annoyed me for some reason.

Given the circumstances I was proud of how UK competed yesterday. With the back court sidelined, the game could have gotten out hand mid-way in the first half. Both have been maligned (justifably) at times, but Briscoe and Hump were huge yesterday. Briscoe was the driving force of keeping UK in the game and Hump was who I thought he would be coming into the season.

I am not going to your extreme in that he "wasn't bothered," but I would take Jackson today. He is a 22 year old, 6'8" junior that is long. Monk projects better to the NBA (though he will be undersized as a two guard), but he was a Freshman and it reflected many times during the year. All season if his shot wasn't falling it affected his entire game. Not many times was he able to overcome being cold from the field. I do feel he competed more on...

Kind of how I feel. I thought this game and the Wichita State game were reversions back to what made college basketball unwatchable, until the new "freedom of movement" rules were enforced. The one that really sticks in my mind is when Meeks had his arm around Bam going up for a shot in the first half. No clue how they missed that. Bam all season suffered from the Shaq and LeBron syndromes of being too large and not getting calls. Not until the...

Fox. They will miss a dynamo play maker like Monk, but Fox can control and dominate games. He went through a bit of a lull in the middle of the season, but I think we take his skill set for granted.

"As I walk through the valley where I harvest my grain, I take a look at my wife and realize she's very plain..." Last summer Weird Al was performing at a venue 15 minutes from my house. I really wanted to go, but didn't want to tell anyone I was going. Totally screwed up that one.

The problem with that play was not UM, it was Oregon failing to use their fouls. Last night was a perfect example as to why the NCAA tournament is exciting.... for all the wrong reasons (h/t Skip Bayless). Kids in college do not understand time, situation, or spacing. I need to drastically lower my expectations when I watch these games and remember that these are 19-21 year old kids that really have no clue of what is happening.

True, but if we have learned anything, it is not to count out Bill Self to not have his team prepared when you least expect it.

Add in Florida, Wisconsin, Baylor, and South Carolina and one of those six will be playing for the national title.

When that back court is firing on all cylinders KU is far and away the best team in the country. 1 through 3 KU is filthy at times. Makes you wonder how they have looked pedestrian much of the season?

I flew into Mesa on Allegiant but was staying with a friend in North Scottsdale. I'd guess you could be to Goodyear from Mesa in about half an hour. It is crazy how large Phoenix-Metro is, but it is incredibly easy to navigate. Cactus League is very convenient compared to the Grapefruit League when it comes to accessibility. Furthest drive you'd have, assuming you are reasonably located, is 45 minutes.

Anyone familiar with my history knows how silly I think it is to make blanket statements about conferences based upon bowl and tournament results. The ACC was great and probably the best conference. The ACC has not performed well in the tournament. Both of those statements can be true.

No. The ACC sucks at both and at life in general.

It would be interesting to have a bracket of greatest Parent/Child Superstars. Hard to beat US Presidents.

bugatti replied to a thread LaVar Ball in College Basketball
I see this ending with LaVar being the family outcast. It is cute now, but once Lonzo gets older and starts earning then dad wants him a piece, it will devolve quickly. We have seen this song and dance before with parents wanting to live vicariously through their children. Dad wants that and a reality show. The NBA will see it for what it is. They know the secret to hurting LaVar is not to punish Lonzo, but to embrace him and pull him away...
