It is a challenge. There are so many teams drafting players on behalf of other teams and team's getting the picks can't acknowledge the picks they received. It is confusing. I think it is time they do away with handing out the hats. I know we knock the length of time between NFL picks, but the NBA draft has the reverse problem. The picks come in too quick. I was caught up watching these emotional exchanges and all of a sudden Adam Silver is...

Minnesota has traded up to the #6 slot for Dario Saric (no!) and the #11 pick. At least they get to keep hold of RoCo. If it would have been Wiggins I would have downed a pint of bourbon. Thinking they are crossing their fingers for Garland or White. Which will be good, so they can hopefully unload Teague.

New Orleans has traded the #4 pick to Atlanta for picks 8, 17, and 35. Hawks also get Solmon Hill, #57 pick, and future 2nd rounder. Word is Atlanta really wants DeAndre Hunter.

That would mean NY would be taking him at #3 then. They have been working out Garland and Coby White (both PGs) the past couple of days. That said, I do not think he will move from the #2 slot as he has been projected.

Rosemary & Mint body gel from Aveda or Citrus and Herbal Musk from Native are my every-days. I also have a bar of Dial in the shower I use if I have showered the night before and in need of a quick rinse off. BTW, the deodorant from Native is far and away the greatest thing I have ever purchased. If you have not bought it, do so.

Two days away from departure and I cannot wait. Most of the group is already in northern Norway getting ready for their marathon. On the way, we have a 6 1/2 hour flight with a 90 minute layover in Reykjavik, before flying another 2 1/2 hours to Oslo. That will at least break it up some. When doing our two day stopover in Iceland returning, it looks as if the sun will set around midnight and rise before 3:00 a.m. This will take day...

Unless they know Morant will be there at #4, then it makes perfect sense.

NY is set on Barrett. The latest rumor is that NOLA wants RJ and would use the #4 pick to trade up to the #2 slot. That would leave NY and Memphis at #3 and #4, respectively.

That makes the most sense, but that assumes the Lakers management is able to competently assemble a roster. There is zero evidence they can accomplish that, so I can see the argument to go for broke, grab a third max player, and see what happens.

Lakers are trying to move around some of their pieces to add more cap space. With their past moves hampering their money situation, they are looking at 3-4 good players and about 8 minimum salary guys.

Both of these statements are true. Lonzo can be masterful in the open court and has a unique passing gift that is not teachable (not so much in the half court). He is a solid defender with quick hands and great anticipatory skills. If you get into his body and able to leverage it to drive, he is vulnerable on the defensive end. He and Jrue can make up one of the best defensive backcourts in the league. But yeah, a 40% FT shooter for a PG...

Only thing I can think of remotely similar to it is the University of Idaho is in the midst of going back to the FCS level from the FBS level in football. That is still considered "Division 1," though.

That is how I have been from the start. Uber/Lyft were not created to support career goals. It was created as a side hussle.

I just go on the pulse of BGP and my family from the area. It was always a mixed bag of feelings on the Pac Man being in Cincinnati. I never got the sense people were in love with Jones, he was on the roster so people wanted him to do well so the team would do well. Jones was coming off suspensions and the CFL when he came to the Bengals. I hope for his sake he becomes a productive member of society in his post-playing days.

You are naming max contract guys (I suppose you could argue Kemba isn't, but I think he will get max money). With the timing of this trade the Lakers are not eligible for a third max contract guy. This assumes Anthony Davis doesn't waive his $4MM trade kicker. I am all about a team getting the superstar, and I do not fault the Lakers for giving this a shot. But their roster is rough and are banking on winning a title within the next couple...

LA will be able to get another high caliber player. With the Warriors’ injury woes, this makes LA the favorites next season. Of course this assumes everyone stays healthy. Hot take, but I’ve never trusted AD long term. Dude is always banged up. LeBron this season (17 of them) started showing signs of aging. If right, it’ll be exciting to watch.

As I said in my initial post, I am a Spurs' fan. The whole thing was a disaster. Moving on, it is amazing how differently (better) Kyle Lowery played in Oracle compared to Toronto. I thought the dude was going to drop 70 mid-way through the first quarter :lol2:

Toronto kept him from playing because they need him healthy for a trade. There are more risks involved with back-to-backs, so it makes sense. They knew what they were getting in to when they signed him. Again, it was pretty well known Kawhi was healthy. The discord caused by it all and his uncle pulling the strings to get him out of there led to him landing in Toronto. It is an apples/oranges comparison with KD, in my opinion. Leonard...

I believe he will end up in LA. I think there was a possible scenario with him going to NY, but I think the KD injury put a damper on it. Boston could roll the dice Toronto style, but that assumes a deal is not done by another team before July 1st. Good shot he is moved before next Thursday. If not, it will get interesting and the Lakers will be sweating. Reports are New Orleans wants Ingram, Lonzo, Kuzma, and the #4 pick for AD, but LA...

I was really wanting a Game 7. The pressure would have been huge for Toronto. Without Klay it probably wouldn't have mattered as the degree of difficulty was becoming non-existent.

Kawhi missed 73 games with a thigh bruise. The Spurs have the most conservative medical staff in the NBA, and by them saying he was all clear deep into the season, it is all you need to know. When Tony Parker called him out on it, that was the end of his time in San Antonio. This was not a KD situation to where he was risking anything. Dude was under contract, his uncle didn't want him playing there any longer, and they manufactured this whole...

The playoffs just felt "meant to be" for the Raptors. From playing against a 50% Embiid, taking on a star in Giannis this is still a couple years from tapping into his full potential, to finishing off against the hobbled Warriors. Congrats to Leonard on bringing home his second Finals MVP award. He is in rare company. The Spurs apologists in me still despises how he went about his last year in San Antonio, but what are you going to do. If he...

London. It has a bit larger population than NYC which I have been to as well. I took a look at the top 10 US cities by population and I have been to NYC, Chicago, Houston, Phoenix, Philly, San Antonio, and Dallas. If we talk metro area you can add DC, Miami, and Atlanta.
