Quit whatever you are doing and get to a DQ immediately. Totally unacceptable. One of the tougher questions posed on here. Think I am going with Butterfinger.

Awesome. Murray State hasn't been a big commitment hub for in-state talent so hopefully these young men will knock it out of the park :thumb:

I got ya. Saying "protest" isn't the correct verbiage. They simply refused to leave (because they were waiting for someone). That came off as confusing. As I said, the latitude afforded to them was not the same as it would have been for others.

In most cases, maybe not. But there are about 900,000,000 Starbucks so I feel good there are a fair amount asked to leave on a daily basis :lol2: I guess you can call it profiling, but these rules were put in place to keep out the homeless or those loitering.

Generally the truth is somewhere in-between. These guys wanted to use the restroom. Once denied, in an act of protest they sat there and refused to leave. But probably the same latitude was not given to them that would have been given to a sophisticated looking white person. I again want to state Starbucks probably denies 1,000s of people a day from using their restrooms without being a paying customer.

I guess the "profiling" came about because Starbucks called the cops (too soon) when the gentlemen refused to leave? I am not seeing profiling when they are not allowed to use the restroom. That probably happens thousands of times a day at a Starbucks.

I would take Cam, but I agree with PP92 the gap is closer than people think. And this is not because I think Kaep is great, but because I think Cam gets overrated as a elite QB. Too inconsistent for me. I've always secretly had a man crush on Cam, so there is that, too in why I would take him :D I do think the longer Kaep doesn't play, his aura as a player (on the field) grows. Some act like Kaep was on the verge of greatness when the knee...

This is a great question. In my experiences it depends upon the connection to the player and the deepness of a connection to the NFL team. QBs often have a deeper connection with fan bases, so their allegiances most certainly will go with that player. Take Carson Wentz for example. He is beloved as a NDSU graduate in the state of North Dakota and northwest Minnesota... both areas that root for the Vikings, traditionally. He goes to Philly,...

Not sure it is team chemistry as it is about organization chemistry, which is important. I do not think the players care. What is in the back of every organization's mind is a scenario where Kaep is a backup, and the starter does not perform well. Then the ground swell starts by non-football folks that the team is punishing Kaep for his stance. A better version of Tim Tebow but with the potential of exploding.

I am not debating that he has not done enough to deserve a spot on a roster, if we are talking play alone. As I said, elements of both sides in there. I do not think his style of play is conducive to building a franchise around, but I have thought that since he began. As did SF which always had outs with his contract.

Few things to point out instead of responding to each post. 1) I do think we try to nitpick reasons to go against someone when they are not wanted. Truth. However, there is the narrative that people began thinking Kaep was "not good" once he started taking a knee. It was documented well before the protest stuff that he was at odds with management over his injury treatment and commitment to his craft. That didn't start with the kneeling. Many...

I am interested to see how many votes Mitchell gets as a protest to the NBA's rule.

Correct. In the NBA, once you play your first second, you are classified as a rookie for that season. Justin Patton saw his first action of the season a couple weeks ago for the Timberwolves, playing three minutes; thus, kick-starting his rookie campaign. He hasn't played since :lol2:

Couple weeks and kept it trimmed to that length. Once you establish a foundation it becomes difficult to remove. It becomes part of you.

The three point record is tremendous, but three point records are getting shattered left and right. That aside, Mitchell's ability to navigate in traffic and create space is amazing. I love what he has brought to the Jazz, a top 5 team in the NBA as of today.

Debating the ROY rule is one thing, but comparing the seasons there is none. It is Simmons by a mile. And that is not a knock against what Mitchell has done, but Simmons separated himself from Mitchell, and then Mitchell from the rest of the pack.

You mean exactly what UK fans have been clamoring for? As for Quade, unless everyone ahead of him are world beaters, which I haven't gotten that impression of, he will see plenty of action.

The article says Hagans is #8 in the 2019 rankings. Where would he be in the 2018 rankings, a supposed much weaker class?

Because we are all conditioned to be glass half empty. If today's game has taught us anything is that guard depth is invaluable and if you can play in the backcourt you will see action; hence, the reason Quade saw so much action this year despite being the backup PG.

Facebook was invented while I was in college. You had to have a .edu or college email to be a part of it. From there it expanded and now we have facebook anarchy :D While I know it is not fair to say adults "ruined" facebook, there is definitely a difference in attitudes and decorum, generally speaking, among the 39 and under generation and those 40+. There are still millions my age and younger that have no business being on it either. I...

On top of that, I am not sure what kind of advantage it provides to a player to go behind closed doors to alert teams you are declaring ahead of the mandated deadlines. I would get if the draft was in a couple weeks, but we are a ways out.

I have always assumed he will go to the NBA and have refused to get my hopes up. But do these people really know? Would a player disclose this to NBA teams first before making it official?

I think Philly is the only potential threat to Cleveland, and they may be a year away. Toronto I do not trust as far as I can throw them. They are still the Raptors. With Kyrie, this can't be a shock, can it? The dude has shown he can't stay healthy. Cleveland is god awful on defense and plan to outscore everyone through the playoffs. A recipe that never works, but it just has that feeling it may. Plus, the Alabama winning a national...
