The Philly Phanatic ranks pretty high on my list, and I have to give a shout out to WKU's Big Red, but my all time favorite has to be... The San Diego Chicken. The Chicken was a true master, and the king of the craft. Most incredible was the suit was worn by the same guy, Ted Giannoulas, for 42 years.

Jim Schue - Coach Brown is a proven coach. It is probaby fodder for a good thread, but that Nelson County championship in the old 4A was one of the most incredible accomplishments in KY HS football history. I saw that championship game and it is hard to believe, looking at the state of both programs now, but they beat Paul Dunbar in the title game. In overtime if i remember correctly. I have been high on Boyle Co and Elizabethtown all...

Who do you think is the best team in Class 3A right now? Forget about prior week's rankings, last year's results and expectations. And I'm not asking who you think will win the state championship or who has the best playoff path. I am only asking your opinion about the top teams in the class, at this moment. Take a snapshot of the class, and judging solely on this year's teams, personnel and results, who do you think is the best team,...

From 2009-2017, other than State Championship games, Belfry has lost only 2 games to 3A competition. Both of those losses were to Sheldon Clark

That is a big win for Apollo, who is 4-1 now. Congrats to the Eagles. With Graves, Christian Co and Owensboro next up, the Eagles have a chance to make a run at the 5A rankings. A win vs. any of those three would be a strong statement.

Is this the best chance PRP has had vs. X in some time? Other than the past two years, these two teams haven't played in a while, have they?

True. A blowout is a blowout and you can't really say either of those was more impressive than the other. Boyle's thumping of Collins is probaby much more telling than either of these wins vs. Moore.

Belfry being Belfry. Pikeville was overmatched in this one and there isn't a whole lot else you can say.

I think when Belfry won their first state championship in 2003, Coach Haywood made a request for people to have more boys and less girls. :D Seriously, I don't know but I am not aware of anything other than just an unusual trend.

Current alignment was 2015-2018 seasons, so the next realignment will be for the 2019-2022 seasons.

The economy, especially the decline in the coal industry, has not been good. BHS has lost quite a bit of boys, too. Not as fast as girls, but still a significantly drop after 4 straight years of high male enrollment. Boys enrollment peaked in 11/12 at 411 and has dropped 20.7% to 326. Girls enrollment peaked in 10/11 at 382 and has dropped 25.1% to 286. That is a big drop in only 5-6 years. 4 Year Avg boys enrollment from 09/10...

I don't think Belfry will drop, DMC. Their 4 year avg enrollment would still put them in the lower third of 3A IMO.

Shuttlesorth is right about the alignment. The most recent alignment was done in 2014 and is in place for the 2015-2018 seasons. That alignment was based on a 4 year average of boys enrollment only. While Belfry only has 326 boys in the 2016/17 class, they had quite a bit more boys in the previous 4 classes (2011-2014) prior to realignment. Belfry's male enrollment was 387, 411, 394 and 331 for those 4 years, and that is what the KHSAA...

Coach Roy Walton did this once while coaching for Lafayette in a game against Danville. He claimed he tripped over his headset cord, lol. He lost his job for it, and later went on to have a tremendous career at Tates Creek. I talked to him on 2 or 3 occasions, and he was a character.

The credit freeze is a good idea, even if a hassle. Problem is there is lots of other forms of identity theft. Tax related ID Theft issues alone have become an epidemic in this country. And this breach potentially contained drivers license numbers, SS numbers, addresses, and lots of other personal information. If you have been affected by this breach, you may want to file Form 14039 with the IRS and follow up with them and request an...

Darn right it is criminal. The MA Attorney General is looking into insider trading charges, and I hope they make it stick with the help of the feds (Justice Department and SEC) who carry a pretty big stick.
