I haven't listed any inter-class games, as those can happen in playoffs. So my list only has games between opponents from different classes. Also, these are long-term matchups, and even when one team or another has an up or down year, over time, these would prove to be good games, IMO. As a Belfry fan, I would love to see... Belfry vs Mayfield Belfry vs Danville Belfry vs South Warren Belfry vs Highlands As for other games, these...

I used Hickory chips, soaked in water. I just don't think I a) used enough chips or b)replenished them often enough. I'm learning though.

Pulled pork turned out great. I probably didn't produce enough smoke, but I couldn't ask for any better. Really happy with it. Chicken legs were good, but way too spicy. Used a rub I found online and went very liberal with it, lol. My son and I liked them but everybody else had to peel off the skin. By and large, it was a great success for our first time. I appreciate all the help and tips from you guys.

I bought a cheap leave in probe thermometer that transmits to a handheld device. I'm sitting in my lazy boy watching U of L and keeping an eye on it. :D I didn't even put it in until the butt had been on the smoker for about 6 hrs. It has currently stalled at about 160 degrees, but I understand that is normal. I'll let you know how it turns out. I tried to post a pic, but I cannot post pics to BGP with my phone, no idea why. Haven't...

Maiden voyage underway :thumb: Put a pork shoulder on early this morning and am going to throw on some chicken legs after it is done. Wish me luck.

Belfry did everything they could do to stop the bleeding. Subs played very early in the first half and Freshmen and Sophomores played almost the entire 2nd half.

Very true. SC has beaten Belfry 5 times I think, and they have had several other close games. The 1998 game was really the one that started the rivalry. That was a tough one in the regional finals. Belfry had beaten SC in the regular season by 3 touchdowns and the game really wasn't that close. In the regional final Harley Hammonds and Mo Spradlin ran, and ran and ran for SC and played keep away from the Pirates. It was a gutty...

The Cardinals are just not ready for a battle with Belfry at this point. The two programs are too far apart. Belfry will play everybody and work on things they need to work on. The coaches will try to limit the margin, but the Pirates will still win big. Save for the homecoming festivities at the half, this game will be a quick one.

Casey is getting several votes and I would like to see them play. I've seen them on film in the past couple years, but never live. Coach Stonebraker is getting it done at CC.

Right now I think those are the correct 4 teams. In a few weeks that could change, as Bell, Fleming or Garrard could step up among others. But right now, I like those 4. In a 4 team playoff, I would like Caldwell out of those 4.

The Philly Phanatic ranks pretty high on my list, and I have to give a shout out to WKU's Big Red, but my all time favorite has to be... The San Diego Chicken. The Chicken was a true master, and the king of the craft. Most incredible was the suit was worn by the same guy, Ted Giannoulas, for 42 years.

Jim Schue - Coach Brown is a proven coach. It is probaby fodder for a good thread, but that Nelson County championship in the old 4A was one of the most incredible accomplishments in KY HS football history. I saw that championship game and it is hard to believe, looking at the state of both programs now, but they beat Paul Dunbar in the title game. In overtime if i remember correctly. I have been high on Boyle Co and Elizabethtown all...
